Nice well kept site. Water alongside the pitch. Pitches level. Generous sized plot. Showers and toilets always heated and spotlessly clean and always smelt lovely. Well stocked and fair priced honesty shop. Derek on site was very helpful and nothing too much trouble. Not far from anything and between 25-30 miles to plenty of beaches. Plot good size. Takeaway places delivered and menus available in the shop.

Not complaining because these call outs were made very clear on all correspondence and I was aware when booking but I think 1. 11.00am off site is a bit early (but again we weren't rushed) 2. Having to use and purchase onsite fire pit and logs, never had to do that at any other site (yes had to use site firepits elsewhere but we weren't charged for it). Calling this out because it nearly put me off booking and feedback is useful to have. But as I said I was made fully aware and I am glad it didn't put me off as it really is a gem of a site

Not a good phone signal and WiFi patchy

The site was lovely and big and so quiet. We only stayed for a couple of days and was pretty much the only ones there so facilities was no problem. Showers was lovely and hot.

When we arrived we pulled up at reception and the parks dog came running out barking. (For me this is fine I love dogs and not scared of anything) but the dog launched at the car and scratched the door. This made me feel un-easy as we had our dogs with us and the dog was free to roam anywhere doing its business where it liked. I felt uneasy if it attacked the car would it attack the dogs? The owner quickly apologised and offered to T cut out the scratch but this never materialised. (We was there for a very short stay). Dog just needs to be tethered or not allowed out to roam. This is the only reason we wouldn’t come back.

Friendly reception at office, nice big pitch with electricity and water. As we were going to a wedding at nearby Hunter’s Hall it was the perfect location. Lovely countryside, all we could hear at night were owls hooting. We had two small dogs with us and there was plenty of room to exercise them.

Not the site’s problem, but when we drove off to the wedding, I left a folding green chair on the pitch, along with the electric hook up cable. When we returned, the cable was there, but someone had taken the chair.

Location. Honesty shop and the fact you could park where you liked

Clumps of old grass everywhere after mowing, it made such a mess of our motorhome and also got dragged into the toilet and shower areas. These areas needed more attention and checking more often

Lovely rural location

Lovely and relaxing place to camp. Very quiet and lovely to see children all playing together. Will definitely be going again. Good for a a long weekend break to stay . Kids could get bored if staying for a week as you would need to leave camp for an excursion to beach

Lovely location, quiet, spacious site. Facilities very clean and HOT water :)
We stayed with a campervan awning and two dogs, it was their first trip together .
Chap who greeted us on arrival was very helpful and friendly. There's a small honesty shop on site and a corner shop, butchers and deli in the village a 15min walk away.
There's also a dog friendly pub in the village with fab homemade food.

We walked to the local waterfall just north east of site, great for paddling and doggie swims but couldn't find a route not on the road so was a bit of a challenge with the dogs!
