Δεν μου άρεσε: How tightly packed in we were to other motorhomes. Too many crammed in to this site..pitches were not clearly marked with approx 2.5-3 metres between each. Felt like more of a parking space than a pitch.
We were parked next to a family with a little boy, our doors were facing each other which meant we shared the very small area between the campers. Because of this we could not sit outside and have our boxer dog tied up out there with us to enjoy the sunny day because we were on top of this family and it wouldn’t have been appropriate. Our dog is friendly but not everyone likes dogs and we wouldn’t want them to feel uncomfortable. I asked the owner Nigel if we could move to the empty pitches right at the front so that we could have a little space for us and with the dog in mind, not be on top of other campers. He said no because we were “too big”.. so I was surprised to see an even bigger motorhome parked in one of those pitches the next day. I appreciate that it was bank holiday, but the customer shouldn’t have to compromise on space and privacy because it’s a busy time. Paid over £100 for 2 nights which is pricey in general so was expecting good things, or at least a pitch to ourselves.

She loves the beach and this site looked perfect for our first trip as it was only a few minutes walk. I also wanted to see the beautiful Norfolk sunset so it was a perfect location. We were early so went and parked in the beach car park, £2 for an hour I think. She had a great time.
Arrived at the site and Nigel showered us around the facilities and our plot. Reversed parked so my door opened toward the sea. Heacham is also near many other lovely tourist places which we also visited, Hunstanton (been many times) as well as Sandringham (park run visit) and Brancaster beach.
We stayed for 2 nights, weather wasn’t too bad albeit very windy, and didn’t see a full sunset as it was a bit cloudy. But the skies were amazing anyway
The inside toilets were always clean and the shower (just to the left of the inside toilets) had hot water, a stool to put my bag while I showered. Also space for Maggie as she comes with me ‘everywhere’Δεν μου άρεσε: The site is having some renovations but some of the issues highlighted by others since the end of last year haven’t been addressed, cleanliness of the outside sinks for example, they really do need attention and keeping clean all the time you’ve got people booked in. I’m aware it’s a festival type ‘vibe’ but this really needs to be kept clean and usable, I’m sure you wouldn’t want to wash your pots in there. And random to which sink had hot water…ALL sinks should have hot water and shouldn’t look like you need to clean them before you clean your pots. Maybe put some covers over to help protect from the weather ?
I’m not sure if the outside toilets should have toilet paper but they didn’t. I took my own anyway so not a big problem but there’s only toilet paper in the inside toilets.
The site has got so much going for it that these issues really should be addressed as a matter of urgency, its basic cleanliness.
I think it’s slightly over priced and the elec is expensive but wouldn’t be so bad if all the basics are addressed.
It won’t stop me coming back but I have my van, but it won’t take much to make it cleaner for campers and those without facilities.

The Buchel & Strike pub is only a 20min walk and the walk to Hunstanton only an hour along the beach.
Δεν μου άρεσε: The toilets weren’t the best but they were clean and an upgrade is planned. Quite a lot of building material on site which indicates improvements are being made but perhaps not ideal for families who have young kids running around.

We are ideally located on the Norfolk COast with stunning views over the meadows and fortunately not overlocked by neighbouring holiday parks. We are not a pop-up site, we are open all year and have been for many years. Our facilities are back to basic, we are dog-friendly and welcome fire pits and all sizes of tents and vehicles. I am sorry that you found us to be not to your liking with our pitch sizes, we had a great easter bank holiday weekend with lots of happy campers enjoying their time with us by the beach. We did have a busy campsite, we do advertise clearly on your booking hub that during peak periods we will be busy, we are a very sought after campsite due to our close proximity to the beach and great location along the Norfolk Coast Path, we are also dog and campfire friendly and welcome all sizes of tents and vehicles, this makes us even more popular. If you were to visit us outside of peak times, I am sure you would find us more to your liking :)
