Lovely site in a quiet, gorgeous area. Lots of wildlife and farm animals on site, very friendly farm dogs! I liked the fact it had in-built showers and toilets for use - well maintained and easy access.

Louise and John were so friendly and welcoming- we purchased wood from them and used the fire pits provided. It was lovely!

A 20minute drive from Coniston, we completed the Old Man of Coniston hike whilst there - lots more to do around the area. Well worth a visit!

The ground is rock hard from lack of rain and generally rocky terrain with it being within a valley - we really struggled to pitch the tent in the ground and tried multiple locations on the site but it was all rock hard. Definitely bring really strong tent pegs or even something more substantial, and a strong mallet!

Louise and John were so lovely and lended us some strong yard nails to use to pitch the tent - can’t thank them enough for ensuring we were able to pitch safely!

The layout was lovely, very spacious and plenty of amenities to use! The ground is very rocky in parts so bring your good pegs! The dogs on the farm are very friendly and came and sat with us numerous times which was really nice. And we also had visits from the sheep on the farm! Louise was lovely and made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We were informed it was a no music site which we didn’t know via the website so be mindful of that!

I plugged my charger into the wood cabin and someone unplugged it to charge their things which was annoying, however there are plenty of plugs in the showers which I found out on the last night which came in very handy. The shower pressure was very weak when I showered but no one else had any issues so maybe it was just the time of day I showered!

Great views, decent price, had showers and toilets.

Lovely views and grate railway huts to stay in with loads ov room nice walk in to town and so nice to be surrounded by the farm animals

Nothing I could find to dislike about my stay here

Nice quiet location, clean and tidy. Amenities were clean and sure was totally litter free. Plenty room on the pitches, with furebowls available. This is a working farm site so did have a welcome committee of the three farm dogs who were very friendly, chickens roaming around near the barns, cows and horses in adjacent fields. Kids would love it.
Would definitely use again if in the area.

Lovely campsite, check in was easy (ring the mobile number on the board). Was given a few choices on where to pitch, we decided to go through the farm buildings to the top field. There were 2 toilets up there which were clean, and fire pits dotted about to use (firewood available from the farm). We arrived early so were the only ones for a while, but didn’t get too busy as was nice and quiet. Toilet facilities were fine, didn’t use the showers but also looked ok. Nice walk to Broughton and can make it a loop back to the campsite. Rated child friendliness as 1 as it was adults only, same with WiFi as unsure if they had it as didn’t use it, but had a good phone signal there.

Louise was a great host, was brill stopping on a working farm, the carriage we stopped in was cool, we declined any logs for the log burner as was warm enough until it came to night time - wish we’d bought some and lit it as was a tad cold but our fault. Great quiet location but a popular spot. Would recommend and stay again.
