Good toilet facilities and nice walks by the river

Loud neighbours and the door was stiff to the first toilet block

Beautiful pitches inamongst the trees.
Gorgeous pizza's ordered from the onsite bakery.
Bar prises were regular prices..overall a brilliant place to holiday.

Loved the setting and location .. babbling river and beautiful scenery.
Very clean facilities, toilet block and showers and even a bath.
Pub was very good. Cider excellent and staff all pleasant and helpful

Was not so keen on having a code for entry to the toilet blocks as I have a bad memory so had to take a pice of paper with the code on wherever I went.
I felt there was not enough places for household rubbish and these were quite difficult to find as not signposted.
Our electric hookup was not working but luckily our lead is very long so hooked it to a neighbouring pitch

Location for the park where we were pitched with tent was ideal for the children to play without worry, facilities were clean and tidy, short walk to toilets, bins & water, access to the river so the children could investigate and see what they could find. Like the option for a bath as one of my children won't do showers. Setting of the park was beautiful!

Not ideal for the toilets for the kids, especially for those that don't give you much warning 🫣 There were a few close calls.

Park lovley kept well. Staff all tmreally nice.

Nothing was perfect cple of days

Easy to drive to. Check-in was simple. Parked straight on our pitch and hooked up with ease. A really quiet site, a 2-minute walk to the river or the park with a woodland path to Lowther Castle and a bike track. The bar was pleasant enough. We stayed for 4 nights, but we could have stayed longer. We didn't use the showers, but they looked clean and spacious with a bathtub in there. If you like a cold water dip, follow the river to the little waterfall.

The arcade room should be closed off or updated. The mat under one of the swings was chewed up, meaning the swing was out of order. The code to go in the bathroom was a bit stiff and clunky.

Ideal location for Ullswater. On site bakery. Landscape - trees and nearby river, much more than just another field. Friendly and helpful staff. Level pitches.

Toilet and shower blocks a bit tired and worn and could have been cleaner and better maintained.

Park was lovely and peaceful well maintained areas. Site bub was great and cafe was a bonus. Very friendly helpful staff.

Showers were full of hairs and cobwebs everywhere.

Pot cleaning area wasn't very good as poor water pressure.
No laundry facilities at all.

On arrival the welcome was lovely after nearly a seven hour trip. Our pitch was close to a wooded area that the children seemed to love riding their bikes through. We were also very close to the children's play park. The whole site was very clean. The toilets and shower block were excellent. There was a little shop with essentials and a bakery down by the reception.

The shower block would have been more excellent if it was closer to the tent site. This is the only downfall I can think of. The rest was great.
