Shower and toilet block very clean while we were there all staff very friendly and helpful squirrel inn on site nice but no longer do food .shop did some food reasonably priced lovely walks good location for getting out and about

Pitches small and quite close together no privacy our last night a number of vans turned up together all new eachother some were still drinking at one in the morning .shame it put us off .

Clean toilet and shower facilities. Site has some beautiful walking areas especially walking to the castle. Very quiet at the time we went. Very friendly staff

I was apprehensive about staying here due to some of the reviews but honestly we enjoyed it, we were only staying one night. It was very peaceful and had a river running through the kids and dogs love to padel in it. Has bakery and pub on site but we can’t comment as we didn’t use, The owner is very friendly and helpful 😊

Motorhome Pitches slightly too close together.

This is a lovely large campsite which has a real community feel. Very pet friendly - there were a lot of dogs staying and they were welcome in the pub and shops. The shop is large and stocks everything you would need, and the bar was friendly and lively. Quiet at night, with good shower and toilet facilites.

Lovely and peaceful, stayed for 2 nights but would of happily stayed longer. The last night a loud group camped next to use partying. but the caretaker on site was quick to respond once it got to late and too loud and everything eventually quieted down.

How far away from the campsite the toilets are. They are surrounded buy caravans that don't need toilet or showers. But I'm guessing there is a reason it's like this.

Great walk on site to the castle good for dogs and close to pooley bridge

Touring caravan pitches are cramped and all under trees so car and caravan get dirty , no space between pitches and once awning is up it’s very snug!

The river was lovely.

We booked into Lowther park for 3 nights, but left after the first night. It’s an absolute disgrace. The ride up to it looked promising, but after checking in and arriving at our pitch, it went downhill. The pitches were crammed together and covered in debris from the trees, the grass bit was unkept and just looked a mess. A guy in a grass cutter kept passing by distributing dust, but no grass was cut. Bins were overflowing, shower block looked dirty, a lot of the statics are in a state of disrepair and cramped together. The pub looked uninviting and the shop, didn’t have much choice and was really expensive. We felt totally hemmed in, and decided to leave the next day. Would not recommend.
