Level pitches, plenty room for awning and car too. Toilet and shower block was beautiful and very clean. Shop was well stocked and staff were very friendly. Quiet and peaceful, lovely shared cooking/dishes facilities.

Not a dislike but for information purposes, some of the pitches were quite snug for reversing a caravan in to.

Lovely well maintained site, immaculate facilities & welcoming staff. Good sized pitches.

Really handy location for travelling around and for the park & ride near the airport, we used the tram £5 all day ticket for the tram & buses in Edinburgh.

Ate at The Bridge Inn in Ratho & the Grapes in East Calder; would Def recommend.

Local takeaway's deliver direct to your pitch which was novel & very handy on our first night.

We booked knowing location is closed to the airport which was quite busy however can't remember hearing them after 11pm.

No problem with the site but the road leading to the site has many bone shaking potholes & some treacherous/tyre popping ones at the edges so travel carefully.

Located just down the road from the Park & Ride for easy access into Edinburgh. Second time we've stayed and again it was lovely and quiet/peaceful. Welcomed by the lovely lady on reception and they have a very handy shop for anyone who's forgot to pack an essential. Lovely new shower block since we last visited (2020) which was lovely and clean and very well kept.

We'd forgot that the camp is situated close to the airport so you do get planes taking off until around midnight (which didn't bother us). However they start at 6.00 a.m. so if your a light sleeper- be warned.

Everything. Best site I have stayed In. Would like to award it 10 stars but only 5 allowed. staff friendly and super well organised site. Showers and toilets are really nice. Little shop, maps and advice on everything there. Wash up area us little kitchen with leaflets tv can cook there .Basically a site that others should thive to be like. A1

Linwater has got to be the best campsite we have ever visited. It was clean, staff are friendly and willing to help. I felt my children were safe.

It has a very well equipped communal kitchen that can be used by everyone which includes washing up liquid, cutlery, pots / pans and condiments. For us, this made camping with a baby easier as I could sterilise her bottles in the microwave without hassle. Table and chairs are available so you can enjoy time inside as a family.

Linwater has thought of the little touches with a Wii Consol for people to use, wide selection of board games, books, dvds to be used. Also, if the weather changes and you are stuck without a pair of wellies, they have a cupboard full to borrow.

The toilet block is clean and modern. For us, a family bathroom with a bath and a shower was a win. We had a disabled child so having a bath available made it easier to clean her. (This is a £5 returnable deposit to use). There is ramp access to the disabled toilet too.

The shop has all the basics plus more at reasonable prices.

We are very much looking forward to returning again in the future.

Our only downside to this campsite is that there are steps to the family bathroom and with a child in a wheelchair we have to lift her. It would have been great if this was ramped.

There is WIFI available on site but we were unable to connect to this from our pitch.

The whole site was lovely and in a great location. The facilities were superb and there was a very relaxed vibe. Our dog was a bit taken aback by the chickens wandering around but they were unfazed by her!
Thoroughly recommend this site and we will be back when next visiting family in the area.
