The location was good - drivable spots in the new forest / to the beach.
The kitchen was well stocked and very welcome in the rain.

The toilets were awful - we've stayed at many sites with compost loos but we had to drive our kid elsewhere because they absolutely refused to use them. No lights in the toilets either. Ran out of sawdust. One didn't even have anything to scoop the sawdust etc. And only two of three toilets were in use (there were a few campers there)
The grass was long which was horrible when walking about in the rain.
Nothing was walkable in the new forest, so driving only.
We had no check in or contact with the host regarding our camping even when we packed up to leave a night early.

The option to use a hot tub was a nice feature, although organisation of log sales etc was poor.

The toilet facilities were absolutely appalling. I understand and appreciate compost toilets, these were not executed correctly to say the least. Our young children were heaving at using a toilet were the previous few dozen occupants waste was sitting merely millimetres below the height of the toilet seat. Hugely unsanitary and honestly a health risk.

Easy to get to, pitch your tent up anywhere in the designated area. Hot showers, firepits and barbeques provided. Communal kitchen was a really great thing, with a fridge and freezer available.

The shower and toilet facilities could benefit from a little upkeep, spiderwebs with dead, dry spiders were around - nothing too grisly, but a little bit of a sweep once in a while would be nice. No walkable routes around, so it’s not the greatest choice if you like roaming around the area.

This is a large piece of land on the back of the hosts home/workspace which is maintained but has a sense of wild and peacefulness. Fully equipped shared kitchen house with games and emergency supplies, good compost loos and sinks for each plot, firepits, furniture and odd, scattered structures including; hammock sites, swing and footy net for the kids, not to mention the wood fired hot tubs, perfect for the one cold night we had! Even wheelbarrows are provided for transporting stuff from the carpark. Peter was also kind enough to show us the indoor greens growing space and I bought some seeds to grow at home. Short drive from supermarkets and the epic New forest, also the coast. I would certainly stay here again if we are in the area it was so cozy!

Honestly can't fault anything.
Perhaps, the only tiny thing I can think for more convenience is to have wood onsite to buy for the hot tub/firepits, I'm sure there is a reason I never asked about but Peter told us about this in advance so wasn't a problem.

Natural feel and glorious situation close to heathland.
Cafe on sight with super cakes.
Good showers and toilets.
Close to Wareham but close to Corfe Castle and the coast.

Very little to dislike but there is a constant distant hum of traffic on road to Wareham.
It’s not a pristine site but rustic and charming.

Pick your own spot, hassle free and very laid back. Use of a field Kitchen and sinks dotted around. Quiet and peaceful - no bells and whistles - just everything you need.
toilet and shower exactly as described - basic but fairly clean and tidy. Pleasant warm shower in the morning was a treat.
Ideal for access to the New Forest region without the restrictions, rules and faff of one of the 'CAMPING NEW FOREST' official sites.
very close to beaches too if planning to do both forest and beach.
