The whole stay was lovely and calming.
Every morning my children (8 and 13) went into the animal pen and fed the chickens, rabbits and Guinea pigs.
They spent lots of time in the common area with the pool table and sofas, relaxing and playing with new friend that they had made on site.
We hired a fire pit for the evening and they had things that we needed in the shop (fire lighters, marshmallows etc).
Toilets were always lovely and clean.

I'm going to go back soon. My boys wanted to stay forever and said it was even better than Disney Land!!

Μετάφραση (Με την υποστήριξη του Google Translate)Μου άρεσε: The pitchup space was very generous. We were pitched opposite the donkey's, who were great fun 😊 All the animals were. We even got to name to wild rabbits that had taken up residence in the donkey pen.
Emma and Andy were extremely friendly, nothing was to much trouble for them. We forgot our air pump for the tent 🙈 and they didn't expect us to buy one and lent us theirs, which was very kind of them. We met their beautiful dogs.
Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather 🌧 So we went off site every day. If you are willing to drive there are some places not too far away including National Trust sites.I hope this review helps your booking and enjoy your holiday 😊
Δεν μου άρεσε: This is not even a dislike... I would imagine the showers would get quite busy in summer. I have not been to campsite yet that really has enough showers! And we didn't have to wait.
Thanks for your review. I am sorry we couldn't do more to improve your satisfaction score, despite your comments sounding very positive.
The problem with toilets and showers is that they remain empty 95% of the time, because everyone wants to use them at the same peak times. There is not much that can be done by a campsite to address this. Outside of peak times, the facilities are always available as we have a very high ratio of facilities to active pitches.
Great stay, highly recommended!

Δεν μου άρεσε: The owners were very present to the point we felt like we were being watched. While I understand they have to be attentive to keep onto of the site I felt we were being watched like other comments have mentioned.

However, we are really sorry you felt like this way about our presence on site. Typically we check bins and the toilet block very regularly throughout the day, both of which were within eye-sight of your pitch, which may have increased your awareness of our presence. We also try to walk around the site once in the evening with our dogs, mainly because we like to be sociable with our guests, but also to check that fire pits are being used sensibly. Being surrounded by trees, this is a very important safety issue. We apologise that we made you feel uncomfortable.
I have looked back through other guests' comments from the last couple of years and couldn't find any others that mention this.
