Views, showers and the lady looks after the site was very friendly. Close proximity to town, easy to get to/from (with car). Felt safe as a solo female traveller.

Maybe of grid toilets

An incredibly warm welcome and an amazing setting, with incredible views across Exeter. Very close to the city centre so easily accessible to take our son to the university open day. Sheep, peacocks and a beautiful resident dog provide some therapy for those animal lovers among us. Compost loo is very useable in comparison to others I have seen.
Incredibly rural yet close enough to venture out into the city with ease or disappear into the countryside for miles around.
Fire pits, logs and eggs all help to make the stay even more worthwhile.
A Co-op and a row of takeaways just over a mile away make eating easy and accessible whether cooking on site or buying in.
A couple of swings and some small dinosaur toys provide entertainment for the younger children too.
With only 10 pitches it is a lovely cosy retreat.

Loved it. The cabin was cosy. The bed was comfy with plenty of extra cushions and blanket. The cooking stove was easy to use and a cupboard full of mugs, cups, plates bowls, cutlery, grater, kettle, frying pan, cooking pan, corkscrew and cooking utensils. It had its own fire pit and picnic bench and a porch area. The compost toilets were not smelly and kept clean as were the showers. Didn't want to leave. The site was small and not over crowded so quiet.

The view is idelic, the hosts and are extremely friendly but understand sometimes you want your own time, the sheep are a stones throw away, the trees capture alot of the morning dew! The view of exeter is incredible, showers are hot and nice and clean, quiet and amazing.

That I couldn't live here permanently

What a fantastic view! The site has basic facilities but is well kept and tidy - all that you need for a short stay. And thank you for the friendly welcome that we received when we arrived

It's a great little site with an amazing view towards Exeter. We received a very warm welcome and it felt they wentv out of their way to be really helpful. It's a really short drive into Exeter, and to the wilds of Devon. Highly recommended!
