It was a pleasant site a little difficult to find and not well sign posted ....very basic and toilets are not flushable hence very undesirable..lovely views ..and owners helpful with directions ...

I recently stayed at Exter View Stable Campsite, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the friendly and attentive staff made us feel right at home. They gave us a thorough tour of the facilities, showing us where to buy firewood and fresh eggs, which added a lovely touch to our camping experience.

The campsite itself is well-maintained, with clean and convenient toilets and showers. We appreciated the option to have fire pits and barbecues, which made our evenings cozy and fun. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking view, providing a perfect backdrop for relaxation and outdoor activities.

One of the unique features of this campsite is the old-fashioned rope swing hanging from a tree. It brought out the kid in all of us and added a charming, nostalgic element to our stay. Overall, Exter View Stable Campsite offers a perfect blend of excellent facilities, stunning scenery, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable camping trip! We will 100% return to this place.

The pitch was great the views were amazing myself and my partner and my friend had an amazing evening.!! The people were welcoming up there and Ernie the peacock was a hit.!! It was a great place to stay and we will list definitely be back again.!! Thank you all for your amazing hospitality and amazing facilities.!!

mature oak trees providing shade and shelter over tent pitches
basic but clean and practical facilities (compost loos, showers and USB charge points)

the site is partially under large electric pylons

Loved the views, the off grid nature, our two dogs were extremely welcome and the hosts were friendly but not intrusive. Beautiful. An absolute hidden gem that we would definitely return to.

Nothing, however satnav directions to the site take you on some tricky roads - the hosts provided much better directions!
