Secluded wild camping site. A choice of 27 pitches available onsite, some more wild than others. Some have wooden benches or fire area so it's best to walk around to see which one is suitable.

We pitched at no. 12 as it was relatively close to the facilities and we had some shelter under a big oak.

As mentioned in the info provided, ticks, adders and other wildlife will be present so it may be a precaution to bring tweezers or tic remover with you as I got tick bite when leaving.

More wild camping than your standard camping site. Area in part will be muddy if raining. Very secluded location.

Cold water showers, braved it once but couldn't do it again.

I went for a one night tech free stay with my son. It was perfect, lots of exploring and adventures. It was lovely that one of the owners came over to say hi. It was a great overnight adventure with my toddler. Will go to dagger woods again

Flexibility, great communication, really helpful owner, back to the outdoors, alfresco showers, having compost toilets. Minimalist. Outdoor fitness area. All was as anticipated from the website. We had hammock and small tent which was perfect for the site we chose. We also had a trolley, which coped well with the tracks/paths to get our equipment to site. The owner was really helpful and recommended some sites, and was also available to help take kit to the site if necessary. Itemised ratings are only low because the topic does not reflect what this site is about and is not a criticism of the site.

We had an amazing stay at Dagger Wood. It’s a very clean and well kept site and it’s extremely private so you don’t feel on top of other campers. The pitch selection is perfect as it’s a very spacious site. We will definitely be back!

Everything! The pitches were big, and nice and private, Henry was lovely and very accommodating, we decided to stay the extra night as we enjoyed it so much. All you need and more for a wild camping experience

A peaceful, relaxing and an almost wild campsite with all the fundamental utilities, such as drinking water, showers and clean compost toilets. the pitches are well distributed for maximum privacy. Henry, the manager, is a very nice, helpful, responsive and friendly person. As a couple who like wild nature, privacy and peacefulness, this campsite had everything we wanted.

The flexible arrival and departure times, the facilities were clean, the campsites seemed well maintained, allowed a dog without extra charges.
