The facilities (showers, toilets, washing up area etc) are second to none. Immaculately clean, new and plentiful. The camping site is clean, tidy and well looked after.

Pricing - £7 per night for electric is way too steep; £5 per night for an extra person (booking price is only for a couple), paying for a car if you came in a motorhome/van, £4 a night!! The car would be parked on the pitch you have already paid for.

The pitches can feel as if you are close to your neighbours.

You can't choose your own pitch, you are taken to a pitch that the owner chooses.

Fantastic location for the Hay Festival in beautiful surroundings. Very friendly and helpful staff and the pitches were generous and not too regimented. Excellent toilets and showers. It felt very relaxing to stay there.

The site was lovely and peaceful. As a woman on my own I felt very safe there. Facilities were above and beyond any site I have been to.... and so clean! The owners were so welcoming.... I didn't want to leave 😊

Lovely site in a secluded countryside location. High standard and regularly cleaned toilet and shower block, with individual shower / washbasin / toilet cubicles.
Small onsite shop, very handy for eggs, bread, milk etc.
Owners and staff couldn't be more helpful - a delight.

Lovely location and fantastic hosts. This was our first time staying here & our first time visiting Wales. Great base to visit Snowdon and surrounding area. We were on Fully serviced hard standing pitch and the whole site was brilliantly kept and the toilets were always clean and tidy. We will definitely be back 😀

Small amount of road noise during the day but I think this was mainly due to motorcycles trying to get up speed to go up the hill which was just outside the site.

Level and well spaced pitches with wonderful wash, waste and toilet facilities. Everything on site was immaculate.
There is also a small shop on site selling the essentials as well as amazing cake, bread and pastries.

We chose the site based on its location for some of the local walks - Mynydd Troed and the Begwns. The site is well situated and close to the main road (we didn't hear any road noise though, it was very peaceful!). We had a Lovely greeting from the owner on arrival, who showed us to the pitch and explained the amenities of the site. The site itself is well presented and the facilities are modern, clean and tidy. The reception doubles up as the shop and although small is really well stocked! We would stop again if in the area. Thanks 😊

Last minute booking, 1 night stay away. Absolutely blown away at the site. Friendly welcome, perfectly positioned to take in the amazing views. Small shop with all the basics & local produce. The shower block, washing up facilities & laundry were the best, so clean. The displayed awards are proof of this. Walked around the lake, boggy in places but there has been quite a lot of rain recently! The mad spaniel also had fun out walking on lead. Livestock around & 2 old bulls in retirement could be heard ,all added to our wonderful short stay. Already booked up for August bank holiday. Called in at Hay-on-wye on way home. (10 minutes away)Lots of places to eat and walks by river- amazing.
Located well to explore mid Wales & information regarding this well displayed. Book trolley available to swap good reads.
