Had a enjoyable overnight stay. With friendly staff and a meet and greet from the farm cat.
Although the ground was very wet due to the recent rainy weather (which can not be helped). it did not take anything away from the great views or the peaceful area.
The tea room serves fantastic food. They even offer a fantastic Sunday roast!
There are plenty of Facilities on site and these are well maintained and kept clean. It is in a good location to explore the local area, Blackbury camp is just down the road, which is a lovely walk. The coasts is just a little further on.

Pitch was very soft, so much so that we got stuck a couple of times manouevering into it.
Site was very crowded, way too many ‘pitches’ for the size of the site
Pitch was sloping too much, we would have been rolling out of bed, so we left and found a much nicer spacious flat and uncrowned campsite

Second review as we booked extra time! This is a gem of a campsite, warm welcome in a beautiful part of the world. Facilities are clean and plentiful and pitches spacious. We stayed over changeover day and Gerald was out with his mower cutting grass as soon as he had space. Also, on site pasties and cider.. who could want more?

We had everything, private showers with seating etc, private sinks and toilets, use of fridge and freezer, even use if washing machine!! There was an in house bar, a restaurant which served breakfast lunch and dinner reasonably priced using locally sourced produce, the staff were friendly helpful and relaxed atmosphere. Had loan if a fire pit with payment of logs. Large spacious pitches, could park car with you, no time limits. Could have music. Plenty of room for kids to play, and activities available too. Washing up facilities good with hot water all the time. Good place for disposing rubbish/recycling and brilliant waste removal for porta potti as everything to hand, washing facilities and didn’t have to touch arsa as large plug type thing!!! There were motor home and electric tent pitches too! Nice area near to places of interest to visit like Lyme Regis to fossil hunt, sidmouth, exmouth, honiton, etc, had a great time rambling around looking at coastal areas even woods, National trust and English heritage places, in quiet rural location!! Saw farmer cutting and baling hay and Aberdeen Angus cows eating in field near to restaurant/campsite etc, lovely!!! Had lovely fish and chips in ottery st Mary too advise a trip!!

Bit noisy traffic until about midnight and restarts 6am if in tent by main rat run, but you soon get used to it!!!

We booked this site for our very first camping trip. They were very welcoming and happy to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was lovely!! Toilet and shower facilities were always in excellent condition.

Ground maintained, pitches reasonably spaced and cars can be parked on pitch for ease/privacy
