Peaceful site, friendly owners.

Not enough Toilets and showers for busy periods.
Slopping pitches

Lovely well kept site. Handy to have the shop on site, we had some of their eggs for breakfast, would recommend. Husband used the fishing lake a couple of times during the weekend and enjoyed - lots of small carp, kept him entertained!

Stayed in a Pod, ample parking outside, great facilities inside the pod, fridge, microwave, kettle, cutlery, plates, chopping board and knife (came in really useful), amongst some other bits and pops that made our stay better. There was chair and table set and a little picnic table which was great. We brought a travel cot and it fit really well next to the double bed with more than enough room for our bags still and were able to move around. Location of the pod was nice just by the little pond/lake situated in front of the pod. Price was great for June. There was a massive thunderstorm while we were there, the pod kept out all of the water, we felt really safe.

Mound of dirt next to the pod which had dead animals in. Nothing the provider could do but it was so warm in the pod as it was been shut up when we arrived and 25 degrees. The toilet block never felt clean, we weren't sure if it's because the facilities are older but it wasn't very nice to shower in. At 10.30pm a car drove past our Pod which was really noisy, we believed any visitors had to be off the site by 10pm

Really nice and quiet site. Very calm and not loads going on which is what we wanted. Lovely walks and fishing pond, great little shop and clean facilities. Only 2 showers for men and 2 for women which I imagine could get busy when the site was busier? But was always empty when we went! So not an issue at all. Read on other reviews about road noise but we were near the road and it didn’t bother us in the slightest. Owners friendly and on hand all the time. Location was a good base for exploring and perfect for people who like fishing especially! It’s our first time using our recently purchased caravan and it was the perfect place for first timers.

Toilet block needs a refurbishment

The site was well laid out with each electric point having water as well which is a bonus especially for motorhome owners. Toilet and shower block was kept nice and clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Nice lake area.

It was the first time we went camping together. The owners were very welcoming. The site was beautiful. Well kept and clean. Showers and toilets were at great standards and washing up area was great. Too. Lovely local walks and nice walk by the lake on site. Great to have the small shop on site too with the essentials you may need. Will definitely return.
There was a bad thunderstorm while we were there and the owners made sure everyone was ok.

Staff where so friendly and helpful
Fishing on site was great
Showers and toilets very clean
Pitches to our surprise were fully serviced and very roomy
Would definitely go back and highly recomend

Only downside was all pitches were on a slope which didn't bother us too much as was in a caravan
