Loved our stay at Ashbourne Woods and will definitely visit again!!
The camping is amazing (not really wild though haha). Loved the lay out, the way a busy site still felt private. The store had a few really convenient things-even vegan butter! The pub is a 10min walk away and served excellent food with the best service we’ve had in 6 years in the UK!

This campsite has a really unique feel to it with pitches cut into various areas of woodland, giving you plenty of privacy but still with a good size of pitch.
Very friendly hosts/staff and thoroughly enjoyed the vibe that the campsite offered - was sad to only be staying for one night!
10-15 walk to the local pub in Rattery which is dog friendly and serves excellent food!

Just loved the peace, quiet and space that this pitch had. Great having our own water tap too. The lady at reception was really friendly and helpful and the facilities were great.
The site was really well located, not far off the A38, but still felt quiet and tucked away. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Lovely campsite, had our own pitch with a fire. Showers and washing facilities all good. Fridge, freezers, kettles, toasters, microwave, charging points all available if you needed them. Little shop selling reasonably priced essentials.
Loved that there's no noisy chavy stuff there, music off by 10pm (ignored by some people but they were spoken to).
We'll definitely we back!

No soap in some of the toilets (used the other ones that got refilled)

Wonderful campsite. Second visit. Camper van and grass pitch were perfect. Plenty of woodland and places for kids to run off and play, lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff!

Nice facilities
Nice sized pitch

Wheelbarrow your stuff from car to pitch. We were lucky that we were close to car park but some pitches are a far walk with a wheelbarrow. Have to do multiple trips

Lovely wild camping experience. quiet with some lovely woodland walks. Great for dogs. Friendly staff.

Too expensive for families with more than one tent in the wild camping pitches. Would be more affordable if the price was per pitch not per tent and per person.

Such a relaxing place, very helpful reception
Lots of lovely walks through the woods both of our dogs loved it
Easy access from the A38 less than 2 minutes yet no road noise
Shower and toilet block and for those in a tent a big kitchen and dining area with a couple of vending machines
Chemical disposal point.for the motorhome
The reception also houses a small shop stocking the essentials
Anyone camping with kids would really love the freedom this place offers who wouldn't enjoy a camp fire in the woods
