The showers and toilets need seriously updating. The one section of toilets smelt like cat wee for 3 days and the showers were dark and not very clean.
Very noisy from other campers but nobody on site after 6pm to monitor this. Noise went on till after 1am then started early at 6am so not relaxing at all.

A covered communal area complete with TV and plenty of charging points (both plug and USB).
A pot washing area with kettle, microwave and toaster: all of which were pristine!
Fantastically priced essentials shop- we ran out of logs and were able to get more here cheaper than we paid back at home.
Wonderful, friendly and welcoming staff. They welcomed us in the rain and introduced us to the site. They were very knowledgeable about the area and always checked in with us when we saw them.
Gorgeous country pub 15 minute walk from the campsite- lovely and welcoming!
3 designated mens toilets and showers, 3 designated women's toilets and showers as well as a unisex baby change toilet and a further two unisex toilets.
Washing machine and tumble drying facilities, at £1 for 50 mins

Hi Lorraine
As we have said there is no issue with the access to Ashbourne woods as it is no more that half a mile from the A38, and Articulated lorries come down this road with no problems, it would really help if people read before booking that it is basic facilities, there is plenty of light if you turn the lights on, my wardens are on call 24 hours a day and they walk round twice in the evening and there is a phone number on reception door to call if any issues the wardens live on site, I myself on the Saturday night was on a walk round as I heard music and met the wardens also walking round to find where the music was coming from. I am pleased to say it was off site out of my control, it would be really helpful if you had any issues while staying with other campers so I could of dealt with the matter there and then rather than go home and write it in a review which I am unable to deal with once you have gone, as for the showers not being very clean, the cleaner cleans them 3 times a day and its not his fault if people don't use the mop that is left there for all camper to use if its muddy,.
