Nine Acres Camping Caravan Park

Μου άρεσε Very quiet location, good nights sleep, nice views, all grass pitches, plenty of space for a small site.

Δεν μου άρεσε Washing up room was massively unhygienic, filthy dirty, awful bad smells. The bin hadn’t been emptied or cleaned for some time. All manner of things stuck to it. The cobwebs everywhere were certainly not new ones. They are more than well established. Filthy floor, sides, plastic unit. You expect some bugs/cobwebs etc when staying outside, I get that. But you don’t expect to see filth that’s been there for some time.

Men’s shower room had 2 showers with thin shower curtains. No privacy, no locks on the main door. Grubby in most places.

Ladies shower room was a little cleaner, but not much. Ladies toilets had no handwashing or drying aids. Just a small sink, again it was grubby.

The EHU is tempremental. It kept tripping our electric so we couldn’t use it. We didn’t mention it to the owner as we weren’t 100% sure if it was a fault with our van/ electrics or their supply. However, the night prior ours was working on another EHU site and it carried on working on the 2 other sites we stayed at afterwards. So it must be an issue with their supply.

There’s a bar in a shed onsite, which is great if that’s your thing. They will also cook food for you if you ask them too. There’s a menu with food times on the door of another shed. I didn’t see any hygiene rating anywhere for the food. But like I said, the shed the menu was on was closed up. So it might have been inside. Who knows.

Overall, even though it was a quiet night. I wouldn’t stay or recommend this place personally. For £32 it was dirty, unhygienic and overpriced.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thank you for your review , well what do i say you were on for one night you must have spent that time in finding all the negatives on site. , What a very sad time you must have had a good thing that i have many other visitors that do enjoy being here but know doubt you would find them to also have a problem,

Μου άρεσε My children enjoyed playing in the fields with footballs ect (normal behaviour) unlike behaviour from the staff working at the site.

Δεν μου άρεσε Manager of site was physically fighting with his grandson (who was staying in a caravan next to my tent) in front of my young children punching each other on the floor swearing shouting and arguing. Traumatised my children. Then the grandson who was also serving in the bar being in no right state was overheard through my tent threatening to throw hammers at our tent and using foul language.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thank you for your review, i would like to point out that before you put your comments to a review you have the right facts, The person you are calling my manager was not, it was a person the same as yourself a VISITOR staying at Nine Acres. I do not take group bookings for the reason that with drink and unruly children being told by there elders that they can go and do anything they like as they are on there holidays this being breaking toilet seats, climbing onto cars and being not very nice, this behaviour carried on for the duration of there stay, water balloons around people that did not want the unsafeness of the ground becoming slippery because of these very selfish people. No more will there be children allowed at Nine Acres sorry but that's how it now has to be

Poor facilities, two toilets for ladies, no paper, tiny basin

All of the crowd made individual booking so again i will have to take the names for the future and black list, I am so sorry you cut your stay short, perhaps get back in touch and we will try and sort things out

Μου άρεσε Nice little campsite situated just outside Laugharne in the countryside. Would be a quiet peaceful relaxing site. No frills amenities but adequate and had no problem using the 2 toilets supplied for the whole site. Showers were fine and the wash up area always had hot water. Site was kept tidy, neat pitches and plenty of pitching space. Owner and staff all friendly and welcoming. Small onsite bar and eatery was a great touch and really affordably priced too. Great base to explore this part of west Wales. Sadly I won't be booking again ( please see dislikes)

Δεν μου άρεσε About 4 tents of extended families booked pitches the weekend I stayed. Loud music, shouting, singing and screaming children running around the campsite on Friday and sat early eve til gone 11.30 pm. No respect for other campers especially those of us with small children who were kept awake due to the noise. Even tho the campsite info states no noise after 10pm it seems that campers can do exactly they please. After talking to other campers about it there were quite a few who wouldn't rebook here which is a shame.

Μου άρεσε We were greeted by a lady on our arrival who directed us to our pitch.
The showers were a good temperature.
Level pitch.
When I approached the lady who directed us to our pitch regarding the lack of toilet paper she offered me one of her own toilet rolls! Thankyou.

Δεν μου άρεσε We found the washing facilities were unhygienic with smelly drains and dirty floors. The toilets ran out of toilet paper and the floors were dirty. The site at the time of our stay was not busy.
It was misleading about the food/bar opening. It was closed.
Generally this site needs some improvement and TLC and regular cleaning in order to warrant the fee charged per night.

Μου άρεσε The location was perfect and we really liked the fact it was a small campsite. Facilities were basic but suited us and having a small bar/ food hut on the evening was an added bonus. We liked the informal nature of the site, staff allowing us to pitch up anywhere of our choosing. Although the site doesn’t have anything for children to do, they can bike around the site & there are 2 beaches within 5 minutes.

Μου άρεσε Great campsite, brilliant location. Easy to find. Nice and quiet. Great bathroom facilities and they had food and they’re own bar with lovely cold beer.

Δεν μου άρεσε Our experience was significantly below acceptable standards and fell short of both the advertised facilities and basic expectations for health, safety, and cleanliness.

Upon arrival, there was no signage indicating the entrance, and we were greeted by someone whose role was unclear — no introduction, no clear reception point, and no explanation about facilities. We were merely told, “All the pitches are the same,” despite several being unoccupied.

Our key concerns are as follows:

1. Serious Hygiene Issues (See Photos 1, 6 & 7)
• The outdoor washing-up area was contaminated with what appeared to be bird droppings, food debris, and other unsanitary material. This area was clearly neglected and presents a serious health hazard.
• The indoor washrooms were poorly maintained, with visible mould, dead insects, grime in sinks, and an overpowering musty smell. This makes basic hygiene difficult for guests.

2. Safety Hazards (See Photos 2, 3 & 4)
• Loose and broken timber posts and signage were scattered near the decking area — some with protruding nails, creating an obvious risk of injury.
• A stray metal threaded rod was found in the grass near public walkways — a serious hazard, especially for children or pets.

3. Misleading Facilities Advertising
• A key reason we chose your site was the advertised clubhouse and food provision. Both were closed throughout our stay with no prior notice or signage — disappointing and misleading.

4. Grounds Maintenance (See Photo 5)
• The surrounding areas of the utility block were unkempt and overgrown, with weeds through paving and minimal upkeep, reinforcing the sense of neglect across the site.

We understand that campsites can offer a rustic charm, but this fell well below a basic duty of care to your guests. Cleanliness, safety, and truthful advertising are minimum expectations.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Well you were busy on your one day visit to my campsite, you seem to have spent the whole time in finding faults and reviewing what you thought was needed to be done, as for the birds we are a member of the RSPB and we are fully aware that we have 2 birds nests in our washing up facility, these are our pride and joy as of now they have hatched and the spreader we have of watching them take flight but no doubt you don’t like such with as nature, so sorry about the birds, as for hygiene you are going behind visitors and not all visitors will leave the facilities in the condition they found it and obviously the standard that you have is way above you being on a campsite, as for the timber round our pub you had no reasons to be in that area as that area is out of bounds, I apologise for the person that greeted you as you should of been made aware that the bar and kitchen would have been opened if you had requested food or drink, I do check on my arrival but on this day I was in hospital
