Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of green space despite the heavy rain. Goats and birds. Trains to spot. Excellent location for interesting village, canal and pubs. Clean facilities.

The weekend we went was extremely wet and the field just couldn’t cope! Food is only sometimes served. Pitch maybe a bit smaller than expected and if busy the facilities might become too busy

Love this site, we picked the wettest and windiest few days to take our 4th visit there but the staff couldn't be more helpful in accommodating us. Impressed that despite the weather the facilities were extremely clean, kids always Love playing on the park and seeing the goats. And the relaxed, calm atmosphere is fab! Will be back soon!

It would be better in the summer when it’s dry. There were play parks, etc. for kids and a pizza oven that is used in the summer and probably the falconry. The showers were hot and free. Lovely friendly lady on reception.

The field was so muddy with pools of water everywhere that we left a day early. The mud got everywhere. You had to walk across the field to the facilities. There was a lot of rain. It looked like the site were putting new gravel down on the road so I hope that helps. The toilets did smell of urine on most days and the showers were mixed. There was only one hook on the back of the shower door so not great for hanging everything. You might have to leave some stuff outside of the cubicles. The site were cutting grass and then sorting the gravel so it was a bit noisy at times. There is also a train going past regularly but that wasn’t too bad.

Had to pay upgrade fee due to our pitch being flooded.
Left a day early as new pitch flooded.
Spoke to staff and she advised that she had asked the owners to cancel bookings and close, but he refused.
The pitches are waterlogged and poor drainage.
No apology of offer of money back, have emailed the owner this evening. The site should not have been open. Maintenance going on with no prior warning.

Nice area

The hard-standing pitches are very soft when heavy rain falls. I got my van stuck twice and the caravan struggled on the motor mover to prepare to set off because of the soft pitches. The paths and fields are also prone to hold water and flood. Our visit was a bit of a mud bath.

It would have been a different experience I'm sure, if warmer weather and in the summer

Loved our visit. Site staff were amazing and very helpful. With amazing facilities for us as adults and the kids. Site has a shoo, hit food when busy, kids play area, animals, huge open space for playing.

Had to deal with some unexpected weather. Staff towing people onto and off the pitches as needed. We had to make use of that to get off the pitch.

And despite all the mud the toilets showers and everything were spotless the whole time.

Will absolutely be back, but will book better weather next time!

Really lovely staff, they even held a mini Easter egg hunt for the kids, and the goats and park proved a hit with the kids.
