There was plenty of room on and around the pitch. It felt safe to let our grandchildren play out of sight. The facilities were cleaned regularly. The fish and chip vendor was open every evening.

The location by the beach was lovely.

Overcrowded, tents pitched too close to each other, had to ask to get the neighbouring tents moved as they were only 1 meter away from ours leaving inadequate space to move a vehicle safely or meet fire safety standards with bbq’s and fire pits. Toilet and showers were ok, but inadequate numbers leaving campers queuing to use them.

No noise control with some campers drinking and partying until 2am disturbing sleep.

We've just come back from our first camping trip as a 6 and will definitely be back. We come from a more basic camping background, with little or no comforts and this site has everything. Really friendly staff and the access to the beach is a huge asset. We managed to see the sunrise which was amazing. Lots of campfires and bbqs around, all with a really good vibe.

Very nice location and nice, clean camping site. The only issue were queues for the ladies bathroom. Other than that can't find any faults. Love the picnic tables on the top of the cliffs with breathtaking views.

Location was phenomenal with such easy access to the beach. Picnic benches along the cliff edge meant you could have a meal out there with sea views. The ground was clear and the toilets/showers/water/rubbish was close and easy to find. Leaving and re-entering the site was easy enough with a code to get through the barriers. Staff at reception were very friendly.

Without marked up tent spots, it was a free for all. Arriving at 4pm, we only found 2 suitable spots, one of which was by the toilets. Generally the tents were all very close together around edges with large expanses in between. Also would have liked the option of an adults only portion of the field. The cleaner was cleaning the womens bathroom at 6am each morning whilst blasting music out which woke us up both times.

Nice and relaxed vibe despite there being lots of people there on a bank holiday weekend. Enough space for our fairly large tent, kids were able to play football etc. with other families' kids, and close to decent shower, toilet and washing up facilities.

Brilliant that you could walk a couple of hundred yards and be out on the cliff leading down to the massive sand dune / beach area.

1. Cleaning of the toilets and showers happens VERY regularly throughout the day - which is great, of course, and I really wouldn't want that to stop! However, they close the whole block while doing that, which meant that probably 50% of the time I went over to use the toilets I couldn't! Couldn't it be possible to close a few cubicles at a time rather than the whole thing? Especially in a site with so many young kids... I did have to sneak in once and use the toilet anyway because my 4 year old can't wait!

2. Every morning from about 7.30am, the toilets became completely blocked and stopped flushing. Really horrible! It gets sorted out every day and is fine from about lunchtime onwards, but apparently there is not enough water supply to the block to accommodate the number of people using it all at once at that time. It's clearly something the site managers know about, so I'm really surprised it hasn't been addressed. This is the one thing that would stop me visiting again because otherwise it was great.

Lovely welcome from reception and clear explanation of our pitch location and facilities. Nice sized pitches well laid out in primarily a separate area just for tourers. Facilities were reasonably close to the field with drinking water taps spread around. On site food & drink vans were reasonable.

Toilets were absolutely disgusting and there are insufficient for the number of users. Showers were good, but again not enough. It is a very large site and there were children playing everywhere and running across and through the campers pitches.

Booked a non electric grass pitch for a tent for £75 and added an extra 4 person tent for £15 in the optional extras section when making the booking, when we arrived at reception I was told they had no record of a 2nd pitch so I showed her my booking confirmation and she replied £15 for a pitch we can’t do that you need to pay £90 if you want a second pitch!
I replied how can it be £90 for a 2nd pitch when the first pitch was only £75 and I’ve already paid £15 towards a 2nd pitch??????
After a short discussion we agreed a price and she told me to contact the booking agent to sort it out.
If we had of known it was going to cost more to pitch two tents we would have chosen other campsites with better facilities in the area as there are a few to choose from but we went for the hollies as it was the cheapest and it was a last minute trip, we also wasn’t planning to spend full days at the campsite and went out and about,
this site is (very basic) with not much for the kids to do apart from a small play area which the kids rapidly got bored of and some football goals.
Facilities wise yes it has toilets and showers but don’t rely on them especially in the mornings, the showers and toilets seem to use the same water supply and the showers take up all the water first meaning the toilets don’t have time to refill between people using them and so they won’t flush meaning they were always blocked up when I went to use them.
The staff came around with buckets of water to try and ‘flush’ them but ended up making things worse and flooding the place with the contents of the toilets which was nice whilst trying to sort my children out at the sinks.
