On arrival we were greeted by a lovely helpful gentleman who guided us where to go and told us about the local amenities (supermarkets are walkable but most amenities are better driven)

The campsite is located in a very quiet part of town, and is a fantastic size of site, having not too many people, meaning not too much noise

It also has a generous set of fields for dogs and kids to get their energy out on and is away from any pitches as to not disturb anyone.

The facilities were the cleanest I've seen at a site (and has a squeegee in the toilet/shower cubicles to help keep the floor dry)

The plots themselves are fantastically spacious and are easily able to pitch up a sizable tent and have space to park the car next to it.

It's also a lovely feature to have an ice cream van every evening and a pizza van.

The showers, whilst hot, in the smaller block near the front come out as a trickle (I cannot comment on the larger block) and therefore are fairly futile for water and heating saving as take ages to wash. Would be ideal for much cooler but lots more water to be able to actually wash with.

The plots at the front is not well sheltered from the wind so when such as the two nights here were so much windier than the other plots.

Campsite is near to amenities but secluded enough to be peaceful.

The site has a large field for kids to play and a soft play barn.

The site offers on certain days food vans. We had pizza on Saturday and it nice but too thin and a bit lacking on flavour for £12.

The pitches were nice and large enough for us. Also, there were water taps everywhere.

Overall, we had a great time and we will be back next year.

Showers were a bit annoying with very short timed flow valves. Some of them were around 2 seconds max.

Some toilet cubicles had very poor shower were the shower head was blocked or not enough water pressure forcing you to be against the wall.

Might be silly, but we dislike is that fires are not permitted. It is one of the most enjoyable activities while camping; it is lovely to do a fire and roast marshmallows with the kids.

Not the fault of the site but children zooming round the site on adult electric scooters wasn’t great.

This is the 4th time we have returned to St leonards camp site. It is an ideal location for venturing into Bournemouth, new forest or heading to the country parks close by. There is everything you could need on your doorstep.
We always received a walk and friendly welcome, the pitch and facilities are always clean and tidy and it’s just a great place to stay

The birdsong and flowers around the site. Ease of access and good location for Lidl.
Toilets with their own individual showers. Ideal for children with large playground, football pitch and loads of space to let off steam. Very handy service area for motorhomes. Over all a really nice site especially having ghe little farm on site.

The shower I used had no power and was just a trickle (second cubicle by the huts). It was hard to clean. Not keen on the grass strip in front of the hardstanding. It had rained hard and we weren't sure we'd get off. We did but maybe put larger motorhomes where there is less grass in front.

The grounds were clean and tidy. The toilets were welcoming, clean and tidy. They were warm and cleaner than I expected. Well lit at night time & always open during the night. The children barn soft play was a massive bonus and was very enjoyable and gave a nice feel to the experience. The animals were a massive hit with the kids & such an enjoyable experience!
