This campsite is lovely we were made to feel very welcome by the owner on arrival and throughout our stay the facilities were well maintained.

Nicely laid out site with a lovely view over the fields. Amenities were clean.

Scrap yard next door starting work at 7am (obv not campsites fault)
No toilet paper in any toilet
No hot water for crockery cleaning
Recommend making the lighting come on for longer in the washing up section - it instantly turns off of motion isn’t detected.
Unsure where to pitch up as nobody present to welcome us/no contact prior to arrival.

The site is level, no need for ramps. Our pitch was roomy and we liked the high hedges that helped to give more privacy and shelter from the wind. The EHU and water were easily available.

There was only one shower available. First morning it took a while to warm up, but it was good pressure. On our second morning that shower was unavailable because it was being renovated. The previously locked shower was available. I waited 10 minutes and it was still freezing cold. I gave up. I was quite annoyed as we were meeting up with friends that day and going out to a show. I wanted to shower. I rang Vicky and left my complaint on her voicemail. Another person on the site who knew Vicky rang and told her my problem. She answered his call (not mine) and checked with him that I had pulled the cord and waited a while. I assured him I had done this, and assumed he relayed that to Vicky. I heard nothing more from her all day. We were out until very late. On our return I sent a late text message hoping the showers would be warm and they had been fixed for the following day. Next morning I received a text saying the shower was warm. The first shower was available again. No apology for yesterday's cold shower.
The owner Michael saw me and questioned my complaint. I tried to explain to him my issue from the previous day, but felt he was not listening. He said the second shower was not working today, but the first shower was. I reiterated the second shower had not been working yesterday, and was the only shower available. That was my complaint. At no point did I receive any apology for the second shower not working when it was the only one available and on the main day I needed it. I was made to feel it was my fault not being able to properly use a shower! Having used many showers over many years I think I am able to work out how to use them.

I could not finish the conversation with Michael as he had stopped me on my way to use the toilets. There is no loo roll provided by the way, which surprised us, nor hand drying facilities of any sort.

All the water is plumbed into a cold water feed, so no hot water is available at the washing up station either.

Clean, quiet with a good size pitch. Considering that when we arrived the site was actually closed (Pitch Up didn’t inform us) the friendly staff didn’t turn us away. The kids and dogs had a wonderful time with a whole site to play on to themselves. The facilities were clean and well kept, the park is probably suited to younger children like our youngest (5), our older child (10) wasn’t as impressed but loved having a large field to play on. There’s plenty of farm tracks to walk the dogs and town is only a 15 minute walk for a short legged 5 year old. All in all, a nice quiet site for a real switch off from hustle and bustle of everyday life. The shepherd huts on site look cozy to stay in too!

The quiet location, we used the facilities, they were clean and recorced with ample soaps.
We were only booked in for the one night stop, but found the close proximity to a major supermarket handy for taking on fuel on our departure.

The final 400 yards of the unmade road to the site entrance, major pot holes, that were impossible to avoid.

So helpful on the phone when I arrived and as soon as I booked. Beautiful small site which was perfect for one night to split up my journey. Quiet overnight and not disturbed at all. Felt very safe on site. Woke up to blue skies and to discover the windmills. Waking up to no alarm and just by the sound of the birds was lovely.

Nothing to dislike about when on site but I would just note as a solo female traveller, arriving in the dark it was slightly unnerving driving down the track to the site as it wasn't very well lit. Luckily I was helped by 2 boys who were staying on site to open the gate for me.

Nice and Quiet for the most part and has good clean facilities.

People came in at one point near the gate and were shout talking for about 2 hours.

Not the owner's fault though. Get it anywhere sometimes.
