The site was simple and easy to navigate. It was well-kept.

The toilets were clean, so were the showers. The advice on the local shop and cafe were much appreciated and helpful. Even the neighbours next to us on either side were so lovely. Everyone was so helpful. We loved the privacy, the calm atmosphere and the area we were in. Me and my partner went to take time away from life, especially with the passing of my 21 year old sister due to murder. This time away really helped us get a better perspective of life.

The pitch we were on had quite a lot of holes, however we made it work and it didn’t become any issue

We spent five nights at the red lion campsite. It is very convenient for visiting the Lancaster Heritage Centre. Chris the owner was happy to help and answer any questions we had. We stopped on one of the hardstanding pitches which had electric and water, very convenient. The pub served food which was very good and reasonably priced as were the drinks.

We have a large motorhome and entry was a little tight.

It was conveniently located and had a lovely cafe across the road for breakfast. Not a too far drive to the beaches and Gunby estate and gardens

Toilet is not dirty but always wet floor with sand, bad smell and low pressure of shower.

We appreciated the nice size pitch, handy washing up area and serviced ablutions. The pub is well presented inside, had a good selection of cask and keg beers and thankfully, sloe gin. The Sunday lunch was excellent and ticked all the right boxes. We also liked the addition of the shop/cafe across the road which was an added bonus and well worth checking out. There is clearly a lot of effort being put into the overall offering and we hope to visit again soon to see how it all progresses.

Nothing to dislike really. It was exactly what we wanted.

Stayed 4 nights, the site was very peaceful, lots of grassed area, good WiFi connection, pitch was large enough and fairly level for a grass pitch with electric hook up. Was nice to see the planes flying over head. Nice 30 minute drive to Skegness for a day out.

The play park was out of use due to upgrading it, which is brilliant for people booking in the future, however the owners did not inform us of the park being out of use upon us booking, if they had, I would have booked an alternative site as our 3 children could not play on the park for the duration of our stay. Womens toilet block smelt of sewerage for the duration of our stay and was quite unclean, generally rundown and in need of upgrading. There were some inconsiderate dog owners during our stay who let their dogs run onto our's and others pitch's and barking at children, not on their leads and left to run around (we are dog owners our self and ours was on a lead or spike lead for everyone's peace of mind and safety).

Easy to get in the site, all information that you need ( gate code pitch number toilet code ) emailed in advance. Friendly site , great location for walking to local castle and of course east Kirkby aviation centre.

Nothing really. Some areas could do with updating but so could my own bathroom!!!

Peace and tranquility, great location, clean and tidy site a perfect 3 days.
