Had a cute little shop, nice clean facilities and friendly people the run it, and it was lovely and quiet

lovely quiet location in beautiful countryside. owner was so friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
showers etc were spotless and nice quality. offer of a firepit and wood a nice touch.

if anything, the bits and pieces in the play area could do with re- newing. that said, our 2 yr old wasn't a bit bothered and having a wide open space to run in, sheep to talk to and a river to paddle in more than compensated!

The site is well out of the way and situated near Gisburn Forest bike trails. On arrival, the owner was very friendly and let us onto the pitch 30 minutes early. Plenty of flat pitches to choose from on the family field. The field has a circular gravel track to drive on with pitches beyond the centre and a small play area for the kids in the middle. This consisted of a big tube which the kids loved, a sandpit, slide, some football nets and an assortment of scooters and bikes. The kids played on here constantly. Very family friendly with the only rule being quiet after 22:30! The owner comes round offering fire wood and fire pits however the weather was sub optimal for sitting out in the open for a fire unfortunately. Facilities were fantastic and kept very clean. Hot water, although it took a while to warm up, at the dish washing facilities. Hot, clean showers and good sized and clean toilets. Would definitely visit again being such a family friendly site, in a great location with such friendly hosts! Thank you.

This was a very relaxing five day stay. Loads of space, great views, lush grass! What else do you need for a great camping trip? Recommended.

Great space for the kids to play out in with football goals etc.
