Lovely site, owners very attentive and friendly. Lovely showers and lots of space. Nice to be able to have a fire in the evening and liked the freedom of not having marked pitches so could choose our own spot.

The only downside was the portaloos. Although they were kept immaculately clean in hot weather they’re not great.

Big space, lots of facilities and cleaned regularly.

Pitch where you like, brilliant fire pits, great showers with changing space. Kept clean. Friendly owners. Back to basics site with the essentials… loos, showers, washing up area, recycling and a bin. Bring a torch. We have visited before, it’s a favourite of ours and we recommend it. This site has a lovely relaxed atmosphere where camping feels like camping and the glow of everyone’s fire pits at night is magical.

Nothing. Although not a big fan of portaloos, they are well looked after here and kept well stocked and clean. ( good plan moving them from the middle of the field by the way!)

Lovely hot showers, proper sinks with mirrors, washing up area, clean field with great walks directly from the site. Ability to hire fire pits and buy wood onsite.

Quite remote, the walk to the nearest pub is quite a hike through the forest due to the main road. It was understandably quite busy so we were quite packed in despite paying for two pitches.

Relaxed atmosphere and ability to camp in a small group. Loved the way they had to set it all up so nicely with lovely ceramic vanity basins and washing up basins and plenty of them and plenty of loos too!

Only three showers, but they were very clean and had great hot water so worth having to wait every now and again
