The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Gave plenty of advise and information when we arrived for our stay. Cute dogs that came to say hello in the mornings. Good bathroom and wash facilities. Very ecofriendly, lovely relaxing garden area with swing and pond. Beautifully scenic and the alpacas were adorable!

Really great place to stay. You can tell they have put a lot of hard work into making your experience enjoyable and the fact they only allow a small number of campers means you have space and privacy to relax. Nothing was too much trouble and if you need any help or advise the owner is always happy to help. Beautiful views, local walks, good pubs and the Alpacas are very cute! We stayed in the showman’s hut and were very comfortable, plenty of space well kitted out. Will definitely visit again.

Absolutely loved everything about this place. So peaceful yet so close to lots of places to visit and things to do. Phil is very friendly and always on hand to assist in anything, facilities were good for the amount of guests staying. Best advice to give if you wish to make the short trek to the pub is to take a really good torch as the walk back up the steep, narrow lane is in total darkness and rocky underfoot - scary too. The Tally Ho pub at the bottom is very cosy and was very welcoming by the locals, loved this pub. The Pig & Whistle you have to cross a large field, we only had one drink here as I was too worried about walking back across the field in total darkness with only a phone torch as our guide. The alpacas are soooooo adorable, a few babies whilst we were there - really wanted to bring one home :-) We will be back sometime in the future - thank you Phil xxx

Excellent welcome and facilities. Location really worked for us with the Tally Ho a short walk away and family in Totnes and Paignton all close my. Certainly recommend Gatcombe Farm to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable break.

The farm owners were very friendly and welcoming The retro cabin was comfortable and well equipped. The alpacas were lovely and we wanted to cuddle them ! We would recommend this site to other users.

Excellent location in walking distance of Totnes, great campsite with good facilities and nice couple of pubs nearby for drinks and food.

We loved our stay in the Shepherds Hut. Loved the decor, it was very clean and tidy and loved its quiet, peaceful position. The owner was very friendly and loved seeing his cute little dog, the chickens and the alpacas.
If you are looking for a place to escape it all and get some peace and quiet we definitely can recommend staying here.
