Friendly vibe - easy to talk to other people camping around
Animals around - chickens, horse, cat, dog, rabbits

If you're afraid of dogs, you might not like that the resident dog runs free and often hangs around waiting for food. It's quite hard to chase her away as she's deaf, so not the easiest if you're not relaxed around dogs.

The two toilets were designated male and female, it would make more sense to remove the signs and have anyone use the next free toilet.

The abbling brook was a real highlight, there was lots of open space, it was quiet, and great for families!

Beautiful view over mountaintops. Sheep in the meadows and a small river with small place to relax, bbq, next to the campsite.
Clean toilets and good hot shower.

Missed a place to load our smartphone.
The road is quite busy and noisy also during the night.

The site was clean and welcoming. Lots of space and the addition of fire pits was great! I loved that pippin likes to potter about the place and that the chickens roamed free. Toilets were clean and in a good state when we arrived, which was late in the evening. Shower was nice and warm.

Only thing we disliked was that the shower block was within the toilets and they were male and female toilets. Would have preferred to maybe have them in a separate block but no big deal.

Really lovely quiet site. Great location for exploring the local area. Good toilet/shower block. Mostly level site. Easy check in.

Lots of rocks where we pitched that made pegging out challenging. Be prepared to lose some food to Pippin, the dog who roams free on site, she stole food from several guests during our stay. She is very friendly, just a food thief. The shower pressure & temperature is effected by the toilets flushing & taps being used. Not a huge issue, but not ideal. Toilets are marked as male & female, but could do with being unisex to reduce queues at busy times.
Save the phone number to call to check in before you leave home as mobile signal is spotty on site.
