Great location and very well maintained site. We could walk into Bala easily and also go for a walk over the hills from the site. Location of the lake was idea for water sports as well. Bathroom facilities on the site were excellent and staff were delightful and very helpful.

overall Pen y Bont was a nice place to stay campsite was a lovely place to stay amenities were very good indeed and the site was within a short walk 10 mins into Bala itself. downside was the six pitches mainly for campervans at the bottom of the site where boats were also stored very dark at night no lighting like the pitches further up also the camper waste disposal drain off for grey waste was very poor a road side grate that was on a sloped gradient so the grey water would drain out of the tank it could do with a chanel type drain.

A beautifully laid out site. Our pitch was level and fully serviced. The shower and toilet facilities were of very high quality and exceptionally clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The site is just 20 minutes walk from Bala town which has small supermarkets, several pubs and some good restaurants. We particularly liked Woodys Cafe at the sailing club on the shore of the lake. Everywhere is dog friendly. We took a ride on Bala lake railway and enjoyed a meal in the cafe at Llanuchyllin station. All in all a very enjoyable trip which we will certainly be repeating next year.

The only problem we experienced was that there was no facility to empty our waste tank, which has a valve at the back of the MH. However we were able to borrow a bucket and empty it into the small drain on the pitch, albeit that took quite a long time.

The Wi-Fi was free to use but unfortunately practically useless.

The campsite was lovely and kept clean and tidy. The lady who works there was very helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had a good stay. Its a relatively small site but campers were spread out on large pitches. Nearly perfect weekend away. Would recommend.

Excellent shower block. Lovely neat campsite with flat pitches. Loads of space between pitches and friendly atmosphere. Walking distance to Bala Lake and pubs.
