It was our first campervan vacation, so we had little to compare with, but we could not have asked for a better first campsite. The site is in a wonderful position, with great views all around. It was spotlessly maintained, and the toilets and showers were top-notch. It was a good size, did not feel overcrowded, and gave each pitch plenty of room.
Unbeliebt: Nothing really, but don't expect Wi-Fi unless you are close to the entrance/shop.

We're glad you liked the location of our site Gordon but disappointed to hear you wouldn't visit again.
We rarely have comments regarding the need for more toilets, even during our busiest periods - yes there are 4 cubicles in the ladies and 4 in the gents (with 3 urinals too) as well as a disabled/family equipped toilet but rarely do we see much of a queue for these even when at full capacity.
We clean the toilets regularly and pride ourselves on our amenity block (and feel this shows in many of the other guest reviews praising it) and it's disheartening to hear that you feel it wasn't cleaned enough. It is our first port of call in the morning and last check before leaving, with consistent checks throughout the day. If there was something specific, we would encourage guests to make us aware of it at the time so we could rectify it straight away.

Unbeliebt: From the aerial view of the site it looks like from the site you have immediate lake access. We have paddle boards so thought we’d just hop onto the lake with our boards straight from the site. Unfortunately there is no access to the lake from the site you have to drive a little way along the lake to find an area to paddle from. Quite a few people we met on site had dinghy’s or canoes as they thought the same as us :(
I probably wouldn’t stay again but only because we’d prefer a site right on the lake with immediate access from the site.

Sorry to hear you were looking for a site with direct lake access, we are only 2 or 3 minutes walk away from the lake (maximum of 10 mins from the watersports centre - only about 2 minutes if you're driving), and we don't advertise lake access on our listing. If in any doubt, I think it's always best to pick up the phone and give us a call, we are always happy to answer any questions guests may have before arriving.

The site was beautifully situated and immaculate.
The shower block and toilets equally so.
Your pitch was kitted out with your own water tap and electric hook up making you feel that your area was really your own.
Nice sized pitch too.
The surrounding area was absolutely stunning..it had a small scenic railway ride on steam train which travelled up one side of the lake and back.
The lake was lovely with the activities centre 20 mins walk away. Even had a dip in the shallow part.
Lots of pubs nearby , again 20 mins walk. Everything seemed to be on a circuit which led back to the campsite.
One of the , in fact probably the best site we have been on to date.Most definitely will be back.Unbeliebt: Can't think of anything...
