On the arrival it was very clear where everything was and how everything worked.

We were in a tent box and once set up we had a stunning view of the forests and space to sit and have a cup of tea using the kitchen on site.

The owners drove past and introduced themselves and it was lovely to actually meet the people that ran it.

Shower and toilet facilities where clean and well looked after.

At night, the sky was incredible. We had a camp light and we sat under the stars for ages.
I highly highly recommend this sight to anyone who is looking a stop over or a weekend to explore. There is a pub down the road with lovely food and staff. Near the toilets there is a notice board with walking recommendations. If we had stayed longer we would have definitely done one.

So quiet and peaceful yet easy to access. Clean toilets and showers. We walked into the forest by crossing the B road, entering the forest and keeping left near the road to eventually come to the carpark and a main trail into the forest. It's not on OS maps but it's fine. The second day we drove to Brenig Reservoir for a lovely 14km walk.

I have to say what a fantastic site Rob and his wife are very welcoming and helpful we spend two nights her and my wife did not want to come home the views are something else nice and peaceful.

Everything was perfect during our stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and the surrounding area was absolutely beautiful. The site is wonderfully maintained, peaceful, and ideal for relaxation. We truly enjoyed the natural setting and great facilities.

The scenery was beautiful. Quiet and relaxed campsite. With picnic benches dotted around it's a lovely place to take in the views and have lunch.
The hard standing pitches are great with electric hook up.
The shower and toilet block is close by and are lovely and clean.
There is also a small kitchen with sink etc to wash your pots and pans, also a kettle in there in case you forgot yours 😁
The owner Rob said hello and he was very polite and welcoming, because it had rained hard the night before and there was no one else due in the campsite he said we didn't have to rush off, this was brilliant as I needed to let the tentbox dry before storing it away.
Close by many little towns and we found by chance what looked like a hikers paradise of shops, restaurants and pubs about 15 minutes drive away.

Friendly helpful owners.
Very peaceful. Quite remote do need transport to venture farther. But if not, lovely nearby forest walks, fabulous views all around.
We enjoyed the fire pits and wood provided (at a cost) or bring your own.
Under those skies are amazing.

Welcomed by owner when we arrived.Large,level pitches with great views of the countryside.Easy access from the main road-no narrow lanes to navigate.Good heated toilet block with showers.

Great location! National park right on the doorstep and great for an event I was attending.
Facilities do ‘just what it says on the tin’. Cabin was well equipped and cosy - great views as well.
