The check in was easy and the information provided, including a map of the site, was useful. The reception was manned and this doubles as a shop. The staff were helpful and friendly. We ordered a takeaway (leaflet from reception) and this was delivered to the site. The site was quiet in the day and especially in the evening. It is next to the National Water Sports’ Centre so the location was great. The facilities were fine. The variety of activities available (in peak season) are great: paddle boarding, archery, sky trail etc. Lots of cafes close by too. All dog friendly too.

The tap nearest to the pitch we were given had a broken head so could not be used and the water pressure was low which meant it took longer to fill our water tank. The site is very dark at night (although they do forewarn this and advise you to bring a torch). The actual hard standing part of the pitch is quite small which meant that we parked partly on the wet/muddy grass. It was a shame that so few a water sport activities were available but this means we have a reason to come back.

Good base for Nottingham city centre. Bus route 11, £5.20 for 24hr ticket. Lovely walk around country park just down the road.

I would say the site is very basic, toilet block 1 out of ten, If the price was a lot cheaper then you would expect the site to be like this one, unfortunately the site is over priced. Hence I wouldn't return. Better value elsewhere.

The pod we were in was clean and tidy the facilities are also very clean and welcoming for a campsite very impressive and we are going to return again and use this site as we come up from the south of England to see family and this site is great value

Used the De-lux pod as a base for a combined trip up here, to attend a University Open Day and to make use of HPP's White Water course.
Brilliant weekend with loads of local facilities. The campsite was quiet, clean and had everything we needed.
Exactly what we needed for this trip.

Shower / toilets were disgusting , only used when absolutely had too!
Field was boggy …. No night patrols so people were singing with loud music until 3.30am … wouldnt stop again

Plenty of space, lady on reception was friendly, level pitch

Poor signage on pitches, wasn't given a map of the site on arrival had difficulty finding facilities as no sign of where the grey water drain was, had to ask another visitor as the reception wasn't open when it should have been. Café facilities not open. Nowhere to eat within walking distance.
