Could do with another facilities block

Really beautiful grounds, plenty of space for people, no need for anyone to be on top of each other, different pitches and locations. They also have lots of combined shower and toilet cubicles, beautifully set out and a decent accessiable disabled shower area, etc. Nice site and location. My pitch was with electricity.
Communications on the day of arrival with email, excellent.

Review factual. Usually I take pictures, post positive reviews, but with the lack of welcome received. A absolute no!

The stone faced reception I was met with upon my arrival, no welcome at the reception desk. I arrived with a smile on my face, quite uplifted to have found it and that it looked like a great campsite, I was unfortunately met with a WTF do you want attitude at reception, stared at me like I came from MARS. #FACTS.
Ashame really as reception upon arrival at the very least should be warm and friendly with contact.

Anyway, I explained that I was a little early, roughly 1 hour, my stupid mistake for being so bloody, honest. I was told instantly there was £6 charge for early arrivals to get my pitch earlier. I paid it as I couldn't be bothered to argue and wasn't letting her ot anyone piss me off over their own issues. However, my pitch was already empty, and other spots. To top it off, other people who came early were not even charged like myself or given the same treatment for being there early. Us campers do talk. For me, it's not about the money it's the principle, and the fact £6 is a joke in reality. It isn't written on site rules or policies. Other nicer places don't even do this and I thought with the reception it was quite harsh on top. I 100% wouldn't recommend or go back here as a result. Everyone should be treated equally and fairly.

Showers and toilets were not cleaned early enough. As others said, filthy in the morning. No sign of AM cleaner. I did text, and they did respond to say it had just been done, which was in the late evening.

Heads up!
Some noise can be heard from the main road, didn’t bother me a great deal, but may other people.

Neighbouring Tent walking too close to our personal area I.e pitch, when vast amount of space available not to intrude near us or other people throughout the day and at night.
Common sense did not prevail.

Not all advertised activities are available. Kids disappointed.
Adults disappointed. Shop only accepts card on campsite.

We wanted to try out our new tent.
The electric grass pitch was perfect, very close to the shower block as I requested.

The grass had just been cut, so within a few hours, the tent was full of grass cuttings

Site was flat near toilets and play area

Chose site for grandchildren with 15 dry and wet activities advertised only to find that since last year there are only 4 activities although all signage still shows all the activities!! Paid £100 for 3 nights which is really expensive when we only usually pay £12 a night for no activities .

1.Toilet facilities noisy and cramped. Too basic and small. Looked like it needed refurbishment.
2. Pitch surface was like sand. Very messy and got everywhere into the caravan
3. Got the impression no one talks to each other on this site
4. Layout of pitches like cells. No view.

Loved it here lots to do, mini golf good, climbing frame scary for the two who went on, whimps.

Not all activities on for example the jeep, and wipe out, but kayaking was fun.
