The grounds are well kept with well cut lawns & wild grass meadows. The facilities were all kept so clean. Louise and her husband the wardens were so friendly. Great little shop.The site is close to cycle routes & lydford gorge. The castle inn nearby does great food.

Beautifully managed and maintained site, immaculate. All the facilities you will need, well looked after and surgically clean. There is a great little shop on site selling all the essentials which is so handy.
Well located for touring the area with two pubs within walking distance. The Castle is literally around the corner and is excellent.
We stayed on a cycle tour and arrived in the late evening after a hard day cycling through rain and over some tough hills. When we arrived we were greeeted like conquering heroes, for a moment I thought we might have won the Tour de France. But that is Rog and Ange the site owners! And they are truly wonderful hosts, just such nice people - they couldnt do enough for us. Thank you Roger and Angie!

The facilities were Imaculate and spacious. The shop had any thing you might need. The surrounding walks were breathtaking. We will stay there again. Could not fault the campsite and surroundings.

This site is renowned for being quiet and peaceful - please read all our very positive reviews.
We happen to be located near to the village playing field which, on this occasion ran a charity event with live music, which, partly due to the wind direction, did cause excessive noise on site, which stopped around 10.30pm. Some of our guests attended and enjoyed the event.
This event was entirely out of our control, and I have to say that such events are very rare. Thankfully, the vast majority of our guests were not put off by a couple of hours of music and enjoyed the tranquility of the site for the rest of their stay.
I'm sorry that the client felt that this event ruined her stay; I did try to call her after she had left site, but she did not return my call.
