Fabulous site with excellent facilities. Within easy reach of Pickering, Flamingo land, Scarborough and many more North Yorkshire high spots. Added bonus is they have homemade pizzas on Tuesdays and Fridays during the summer. It’s a working dairy farm and we’re fortunate to see two calf’s born whilst staying there. You can also view the milking twice a day which the kids would love. Highly recommend this beautiful site!

Peaceful working farm site. Left to your own devices by owners. Immaculate facilities block. Picnic table, bench set beside every pitch is a great idea. Countryside views for miles.

Excellent welcome, toilet block well looked after and decorative. Grounds immaculate and well situated. I will try to return.

Lovely quiet site spotless facilities

Nice little site on a working farm, the quietest working farm we’ve stayed on,
The site is just off the main A170 ,it’s easy to get to and Pickering is only a 10 min drive.
The shower block is fabulous 2 of everything in both male and female sides, showers, loos & sinks, plenty of hot water, it’s a press the button shower, I found the first press far to hot so if your taking kids in with you just be aware, plenty of space in the cubicle, with a bench seat & 3 fancy hooks for you items.
Lots of information in the loo area, the washing up area is just on the outside of the shower block under cover, the sinks are a little deep.
There is hard standing and grass pitches, the site as a slight slope, great views over the hedges, obviously there is road noise( it’s a busy road ) and the cows moo & sheep bleat (not loud) we only saw the owner once that was to check in at the farm house, she shows you to your pitch and lets you get on with your holiday.

Not much for the kids to do, but the center of the field the owners has stacked very large hay bales for the kids to jump on.
They do fresh stone baked pizza nights but we missed these as when we booked they had changed the days so can’t say whether they tasted good or not.
It’s 10amp, we plugged kettle, toaster in together no problem with it tripping & water tap on each pitch.

Having to pitch your awning on the limestone grave next to your vehicle,( not on the grass ) we suggest you take the hardest rock pegs and a very heavy hammer, we had heavy duty pegs and it was the hardest ground we have ever been on.A neighbour came to the rescue and gave us some hard screw pegs they bought at Aldi .
We like to park on hard standing and pitch our awning on grass, but for some reason we weren’t allowed to do this, Even though if you choose a grass pitch you can, just didn’t make sense.
Some of the limestone are big so I recommend you remove them before pitching your awning otherwise it makes for a very uncomfortable awning base, I have very weak ankles & feet problems, so I can trip on the tiniest of stones, so it wasn’t pleasant for me.
We’ve rated 5 stars because there’s not a half star.
But I’d knock off half a star because of the limestone but that’s just my opinion.

We would stay on this site again but book a grass only pitch

The well spaced pitches were on a large field that was easily accessed from the road, past the main farm buildings. The expansive views of the surrounding countryside were beautiful; the block housing the showers, toilets and washing facilities were absolutely immaculate and a credit to the family who run the site as well as the dairy farm. They were friendly and helpful and welcome visitors to view the herd being milked morning and evening. This was one of the nicest sites we gave used and we will certainly be returning in the near future

This was a really lovely site we were met on arrival and shown to our pitch, due to nice weather we had decided on a grass pitch, perfect. It’s a fairly small site which we prefer. The new toilet and shower block was lovely nice spacious showers - good water pressure. There is a pub that serves good just a short walk away but not open Mondays and Tuesdays. Twice a week fresh pizzas are made on site to order. It was nice being on a working dairy farm (you realise how hard farmers work) it helped my granddaughter understand where milk comes from! There are many local places to visit Helmsley, Pickering etc and national trust and English heritage properties. The lovely seaside town of Whitby is not faraway. All in all it was a great place to relax and the hay bales for the kids to play on was a great idea.

Nicely laid out site with easy access. Clean and modern shower block. Really easy to find and a great location for Pickering, the wolds and Scarbados.

The cosy sitting room, the well equipped kitchen, the view on the hills, the cows passing by twice a day and the pizza hut.

It was a pity, there was no Wifi available.
