What a fantastic little gem this place is. Phil the owner made us feel very much at home from the minute we arrived here. Bed was very comfy and the Yuri was excellent. The kitchen had everything you needed. This place is very special and we as a family will definitely be coming back here next year.

We as a family had a lovely short break here. Everything about our stay was wonderful and Phil and his wife are great hosts, beautiful scenery and great walks on your doorstep.Whats not to love!!

We had a lovely break. haven tent was just like home. It was so warm and comfy. There were all of the facilities like toilets/shower room even our own kitchen (with a fridge!) games for the children. The kids loved it and didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be returning.Beautiful views and great walks.Thank you Phil and Ness

What a beautiful quirky campsite, lovely and clean facilities, lovely owners, lovely views! It's a hidden gem. Lovely decorated tent, comfy beds, kitchen was fully furnished, no need to bring your whole kitchen lol. All you need it's yourself, clothes and food. Not too far from local supermarket. There was plenty of activities for the children to play with, children could explore and knew they were safe! Can't wait to go back again.

High Ashes Haven is a really special place - we had a wonderful time staying there and hope to go back again soon!

The location is idyllic, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The facilities are clean, practical and so nicely decorated - we especially loved the fairy lights on the fences and along the jetty so that the pond looks really pretty even after the sun goes down. The Shepherd's Hut was so cosy and comfortable.

Host Phil couldn't have been more warm, welcoming or helpful, and gave us some excellent recommendations of local places to visit.

There is nothing to dislike

The place is amazing. We really enjoy our stay here at Serenity tent. We brought some stuff with us but there was no need to use anything as everything was provided. Kitchen utensils, bbq, plates and cutlery, bedding, toiletries all included. All was clean and ready for us at arrival. Our children loved this place, they enjoy with the animals around the farm plus there are a variety of games, outdoor and indoors, available to play. The owners are very helpful and it’s really easy to reach them and the communication is great. Our children did not want to leave the place, which shows how much they enjoyed themselves here. We will be visiting again as the area is amazing and we want to explore it further and will stay here again.

The peace and quiet is unmatched by anywhere I've been before, there are only 3 places to stay on the site and each cabin/tent has its own area where you can relax and be yourself. There's a communal area for when you want to socialise which has a very well stocked kitchen with a grill and pizza oven. You even get your own fridge so you don't have to worry about ice boxes and spoiled food.

We didn't get chance to meet Ness, but Phil is such a lovely guy, as you can see from the other reviews on here, he's just so helpful and happy to do whatever he can to make your stay perfect.

The shepherds hut is just gorgeous and perfect for relaxing on an evening, if you're lucky enough to get a bit of rain in the night you can just chill out on the massive and ridiculously comfortable bed while you listen to it.

There are a couple of farm shops and pubs within easy walking distance of the site.

We'll 100% be coming back for longer in the summer holidays.

A lot of places charge an arm and a leg for just an empty hut, High Ashes provides literally everything you could need. Don't even bother bringing food with you, just head down to a farm shop and stock up once you arrive.

Nothing to dislike. It's all perfect.
