Choice of pitch’s , communal area, beautiful grounds with a scenic small pond and baby ducks and rabbits , very well maintained. Nice woodland walk just out of the site. Friendly owner who showed us to our pitch.

The whole area was lovely great indoor area for when weather not so good with all facilities you may need fridge kettle microwave tv, owners were lovley and hrlpf

Clean site with very spacious pitches and plenty of green space but also enough split between areas so it was quiet too.
Social area worked really well - both to meet people and as a space to have a comfy sofa for a bit, and use the fridges etc.
Clean toilets, well maintained.
Location was good - direct access to the lake for a good walk round it, with lovely views. 2 mile walk along canal into Ellesmere - so doable for a trip out for lunch or whatever.
Fire pits and wood provided was good.

Could only get Wifi in social area.
The toilet/shower area is quite small and if it was cold I feel it would be quite cold in there. Not a major issue, and it was lovely and clean and perfectly fine, but just different to some of the bigger sites with large, underfloor heated shower areas.
The lane to get to the site is very narrow - especially if you come from one direction - again not a major issue and it is mentioned on the web site, but it really was very narrow and I am quite a nervous driver - will not stop me going back though.
Ellesmere is walkable but if you wanted easier access to a pub for an evening drink I don't think I would walk the 2 mile back along the canal - but fine for earlier in the day.

Beautiful little campsite with everything you could need. Cute onsite clubhouse even thinks of those little things you might have forgotten with the added bonus of fresh eggs to purchase for breakfast. Next to a beautiful lake that goes directly into the local village too which was perfect for lovely walks with our pup. Had a great time.

When we arrived we were given options of which pitch we would like. Super friendly and great location

Personal preference but would like more than 2 showers and 2 toilets as the site was extremely busy

If you are looking for a quiet site, off grid with no phone or WiFi access this is the site for you.
Nice communal kitchen/meeting area. Clean showers & toilets.
Grounds are well kept & also some areas kept natural. Saw lots of little rabbits about running freely, was nice to see.
It is a very peaceful site, dog friendly & great for hiking.

The road at access the side is narrow with just room enough for one vehicle.
We kept asking ourselves what was missing & realised for us it's the sound of kids playing & enjoying themselves so as this was an adult only site , this would prevent our return (although obviously just our preference & a bonus for others) phone signal non existent & no Internet, due to rural location.

Dave and Ingrid were very welcoming hosts as well as attentive.
The facilities were spotless and the social space at Colemere was very homely. Will definitely be coming back.
