The views from the blue lagoon field are breathtaking. If lucky enough to have clear skies, the sun set on the horizon is quite emotional and extraordinary and the stars to be seen at night are amazing!

We have stayed here before on another field lower down, the views were still great, right next to coastal path walks and a gorgeous little stony cove. A little challenging to walk down to it, but take your time and you’ll be fine! My 7 year old did it holding my hand.

All the facilities are clean.

On our third night we had gale force winds, a member of staff did come to pre warn us and offer us shelter if we were to need it. Which was highly appreciated, as prepared as we thought we were for this wind, we did have to cut our holiday short due to our tent being destroyed.

Some friends had booked last minute to join us on our trip, when we got to the campsite we found we were booked in on different fields. (As if you book an electric pitch you are allocated a pitch) the lady in reception was very friendly and managed to put us right next to each other. Which made our camping experience even better!

This is a lovely site with great views!

Not much to dislike but if I had to be picky, if based on the far side of the field, it’s a fair walk to go to the toilets or to collect drinking water. If you don’t have a trolley to carry your water, that’s an agonising walk.

Not much to do for children here but I don’t think that’s such a bad thing as you can make up your own activities to do on the vast space available on the fields.

Depending which field you are on, the signal here is quite poor. So to use the free WiFi isn’t always an option.

We were in Lower abberieddi field and the pitch was on too much of a slope . Although showers were hot they wasn't at all good flowing ..

If you like a room with a view. This site will not disappoint.
It's deffinately a quiet and relaxing break away.
Lazy mornings and quiet evenings watching the sunsets then enjoying the stars from around your campfire.
Can be windy and a struggle to get a tent up. However well worth the effort.
Staff are 💯 there for you. Go over and above to support no matter what the problem. Definitely taking pride in what they do.
Short easy drive to other local beauty spot and towns.
We stayed for 4 nights. Loved every second.

I would deffinately recommend this site and I will go back.

Gorgeous location and a spacious and well looked after camp site.

Right on the coast, the views and access to the coastline path made this the perfect place to stay.

The facilities were hygienic and despite the amount of people, we were never queuing.

The on site shop and reception added a level of comfort to the stay. We will be coming back!

The size of the pitch was generous. Plenty of places to fill up with drinking water. The view of the sea was incredible from the site. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The campsite is right on the coastal path and within walking distance a nice beach and the blue lagoon. Great views. Good facilities.

Don’t book pitch 55 in the lower field. It is right in front of what people were using as a foot path so had no privacy with people turning up all day. Quite far to the facilities from this field. The size of the site means no one is really checking - out pitch was being used by others so had to trek back up to see where else we could go. Lady was helpful but a better pitch allocation system could be useful? Be aware that the site allows for big groups!

The sea views are amazing, sunsets beautiful and the site is huge. We didn’t use the shop or the refractory so cannot comment on those. The toilet and shower blocks in the field we were in (blue lagoon) were on the whole clean and tidy, the drainage in a couple of the showers was a little haphazard so standing in a puddle for a little while was a regular occurrence 😂
Plenty of water access and washing up stations.

The pitches seemed very close together, we’re used to much more space around us when camping so coming ‘home’ one afternoon to find neighbours within touching distance was a little disconcerting.

There’s a food offering on site with almost-daily menus, we didn’t use it though but nice to have.

Second time I’ve been to this site (last time being 2011) and it’s just as amazing as I remembered. Would come back a third time.

Phone signal is poor (not a negative for the site), and WiFi is a bit patchy in parts but you don’t go for that, so a bit of a non-point
