Every great location

Bonners lodge was an amazing find lovely and quiet and the owners could not be more helpful and welcoming they put a Buffett tea on for NYE in there games room for a small fee.
Each day we were at the caravan site they brought out a load of different animals for the children to take a walk and meet my son had his first ever donkey 🫏 ride. The animals range from sheep to goats, it’s a lovely little site and we will be back

Only down side is it needs more gravel around the walk way it was a tad muddy but this was fine for us as we had wellies.

Needs more passing lanes when you drive to the farm as it is one way in one way out to the access of the site.

Had a wonderful stay despite the storm! Loved that all pitches were fenced with hardstanding, grass and picnic tables. Enclosed dog field. Great common room with tv games etc. facilities were spotless with lovely soaps and lotions and everyone had a personal bath mat. Not far from Beamish.

Views were stunning even through the winds and rain. Hey but it’s winter

Electric and water on the plot and was even in a fenced area so my dogs could roam freely.

Gated pitch. Each gated pitch was for sole use. Excellent for dogs.
An amazing common room with all you would need from a microwave to table tennis.

Fabulous site on the moors with panoramic views. There was also a warm games room with a TV, pool table and cooking facilities. Very welcome as we had a challenge to get gas to power our stove in the campervan and this meant we could have some hot food on a wet and misty November night. Got chatting with other campers too which was very sociable. Dog and people friendly.

We absolutely love this site! I was travelling alone with my 4 year old and even though we didn’t arrive until 9am we had the warmest welcome.
The facilities are so well kept, clean and for this time of the year, most importantly…warm! They have a brilliant communal room with everything you’d need.
In the morning we had a knock on the van and my little girl was offered a ride on their donkey which she loved. She got to feed all of the animals and just loved it.
Driving out in the light we were blown away with what a beautiful setting it was in. Fields for miles, gorgeous scenery and so peaceful.
We cannot wait to go back, it was perfect. I just wish we had been booked in for longer.

Clearly owned by the loveliest people who really care about their visitors and their experience. We will be going back as soon as possible!

In addition: excellent phone signal. Which I never thought I’d be too bothered about until I started travelling solo with a 4 year old!

Beautiful hilltop location, but an unexpectedly high standard of facilities. Not a "back to basics" site in any way! The owners have limited the number of pitches to ensure everyone has space to enjoy the wonderful views and access to the beautiful North Pennines.
Superb showers and a separate games room/lounge/kitchen make this a luxury experience in the middle of wild Northumbria!
Great alpaca/sheep/pony action too ;-)
