We really liked this site… Pitch was massive, loads of space.

Decent small walk round site was good for the dogs.
Owners/ shop staff were so helpful and friendly.
Only 15 mins from Carsington water.
Some of the pitches you do need levellers but the site does advertise this!! Wasnt a problem as we had levellers with us.

The main point was there was no hot water in the mens at any time we visited 😩
So no way could have a shower.

The location, on site amenities where OK nothing super special, the shop was stocked amazingly! Despite the weather being torrential and sunny every 2 seconds it was a lovely stay

We were at the bottom of the hill so water got into our tent, the other people camping were noisy and inconsiderate even though a sign says quiet time is from 10pm this rule was not enforced, also one family had a dog that was aggressive with our dog and another couples dog but they allowed it off lead which was not allowed but again this rule was not enforced

Site very clean and well kept.
On site facilities were in good condition and looked after, fishing lake and grounds well maintained.
Site had good security with cctv coverage and electronic access to and from the site. Well worth a visit and within easy reach of several towns and walking areas in the Peak District.

Spent a very pleasant few days on this very clean and tidy site. The warden was very welcoming and approachable.
In the reception area a stock of some supplies are sold, including food, camping supplies etc.
There was also a lovely lake where you could sit, fish & relax.
Fire pits can be borrowed & the careful use of BBQ's allowed.
There were some grass pitches overlooking the lake too where there were ducks with their ducklings, moorhens, a goose & of course rabbits.
During the night if you were lucky you would hear an owl which would like to perch in a tree at the end of the field.
No pubs or shops within walking distance.
This site has lovely sized pitches, grass & hard standing.
Tents, motorhomes & caravans welcomed.
There is a waste water point for motorhomes.
A covered dishwashing area.

Could have done with a stool of some sort in both of the ladies showers which were very clean and tidy with plenty of hot water. The showers were included in the price.

Felt very remote and quite, even thou you only really 10 minutes or so away from what ever you could need. Nice clean and tidy site and shower block. Helpful staff and little shop. The fishing was really good too

This campsite is in a beautiful spot.
The pitches are spacious and well maintained. Plenty of electric points in sensible positions and water taps too. The showers were lovely in the ladies, really hot with good water pressure.

I disliked a couple of things but it wouldn't be enough to put me off staying again. There wasn't really enough toilets or showers, we had to queue every morning for both. I would hate to go when its really busy. My husband said the showers in the mens weren't great. The shower in the ladies was lovely but the shower area was a bit ropey and the tray didn't drain that well.
The site is in Derbyshire. Which has hills. The campsite is on a hill. In the caravan it was fine as we could level through with what we had but my sister was in a tent which is never great on a sloping site but unavoidable and nothing the campsite owners can change.

Super site friendly staff. Great lakeside location.
