The site is nice and well equipped. I liked the fact that each pitch has it's own water tap.
I loved the pitches around the lake. I must pitch here next time, it's so peaceful first thing in the morning. Lots of fish can be seen swimming around at this time of day. Lovely.

It didn't affect me too much but as there are only 2 showers it could become very busy at peak times of day.

Freezing cold showers - no matter what time you went to the block!
Showers need some hooks or shelves or somewhere to put your stuff that’s not on the floor

- The pods were near to the fishing lake. This had a beautiful view.
- They were plenty people fishing who were always pretty quiet.
- That the pods had electric, a kettle, microwave and crockery/cutlery so I was able to make a drink.
- A running cold water tap near the pods.

- There was no running water in the pod which would have been ideal, even just a small sink to be able to have a wash in the morning etc.
- There was a small outbuilding next to the pods but, this was nailed shut so out of use. This appeared to have a sink, small cooking facilities. Unsure why.
- The cold water running tap was around the side of the locked/nailed shut outbuilding. This was straight onto muddy ground.
- There was only three toilets and two showers for the whole campsite.
- No shelf/ability to place wash items in the shower room or near to the sinks. This would have been ideal, and several other campers pointed this out to me too. Somewhere to be able to place your wash bag when you’re washing your face and brushing your teeth. I had to place this on the floor which isn’t hygienic 😔
- The faux grass outside the pods was very worn and dated. The wooden flooring just outside the first pod ‘duck’, with the faux grass covering appeared rotten underfoot and was uneven. Possibly a safety issue if this was to give way.

The easy going friendliness and the peace and quiet. Have now been a couple of times and will go again.

The site was very clean and well kept and maintained the staff was super friendly. Good size pitches and great location and well stocked shop on site too nice little pond on site to go fishing on too will definitely return

Good size pitch water and mains right by pitches so not having to walk far for these facilities was great. Grass was well kept and site tidy overall.

The duration of our stay only one of our party managed to get a hot shower the whole duration, and this was at 2300. The camp site states that they reason they are running our of hot water is due to people leaving the taps on. However I went at 6am in the morning in the hope to get a shower as at this time the majority of the campsite was still sleeping and still no hot water. I feel that the 2 showers if we're hot would have been OK, but there were alot of people trying to use until everytime they were cold. When I checked in, I wasn't told any of the facilities on site of location just the direction to my pitch. I feel the site is good as a basic site but dont expect any hot water.

Not crowded, very clean site and very friendly staff. Other campers were very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay

We booked Blackbrook as 2 family groups for a long weekend, the site was great and had everything we needed, really helpful and friendly owners, large pitches, loads of room for the kids to play, clean facilities with onsite shop and fishing. The site has also got a great area for dogs about 100m from the entrance. We will definitely be coming back here.

Toilet block closed for 30 minutes per day.
Lots of pitches seem crammed in together.
Toilet and shower block among the dirtier ones I’ve used on a campsite.
Steep slope on all pitches including motorhome pitches.
