The campsite is small which I prefer.I was welcomed when I arrived and shown to my pitch The cafe is very good and I have spent more at this campsite than any I've stayed on
There are a number of walks if you have a dog . If you need groceries there is a one stop that is in walking distance.I slept peacefully for the 2 nights I was there . The staff are very friendly . Facilities are very clean .Some of the water was off but that's due to the time of the year

It just needs a washing up area with hot water .

The site was just what we needed - somewhere to park up the campervan with good clean and modern toilet/shower facilities. It took a little while for the shower to warm up but my patience was rewarded!
Pre-arrival instructions were helpful - the only addition I can suggest is advising which of the water taps is operational (we should have checked this before it got dark LOL). Loved that although we were very close to ‘civilisation’ the owls were busy talking to each other in the evening.

The only thing I can put here is that we gave up wrestling with the small pedestrian gate to go down to reception and facilities and used the track and larger gate instead - it felt v close to pitch 1 and their enthusiastic puppy had muddied one set of clean clothes so daren’t risk the other, no matter how cute it was :-)

Easy access, nice showers & loos & hairdryer - very welcome on a chilly morning! Also made friends with a very cute toad.

Tranquil site in nice surroundings.
Very good staff, who were informative about the site. The shower and toilet facilities were spot on.

Road leading in was a bit pothole strewn, but take it steady and it’s not a real big problem .

Really quiet spot with lovely walks on the doorstep. Facilities clean and small cafe when wild swimming lake open.

Not a dislike but showers are a tad chilly but understand the need for this with swimmers coming out of the cold lake.
