Positiv: Both hosts are really friendly and practical people. I turned up at the start of storm Babet and the weather was pretty poor. I was warned of the potential for the river to swell during stormy weather, thankfully this held during my stay. The trip across the river was a nice adventure, a little army 4x4 is a great added touch. Due to the high winds the hosts added a latch to the camp shop if I needed to decamp during the night and stay in the shed. Composting toilets are an environmentally focussed solution albeit slightly draughty and slightly damp in a storm, but you are camping after all. The location is absolutely lovely, despite the weather it was a really beautiful location.

Positiv: Brilliant! Basic but very well maintained facilities. Beautiful site, well spaced pitches. Wild enough for the experience with the convenience of facilities and access. Wee shop with honesty box was a great touch and 4x4 crossing the river to access was an added novelty. Fantastic hosts too - so helpful and obliging. We'll definitely be back!

Positiv: Everything was excellent. A beautiful location, quiet and calming, campsites overlooking the river, and clean shower and toilets, with firewood on site. The absolute best part of staying here was Tabitha the campsite owner who was so kind, helpful and accommodating. Will definitely be going back!

Negativ: Nothing!

Positiv: friendly and helpful hosts; second-to-none communication; quiet, clean, really well-maintained and well spaced tent pitches with benches and fire pits; tranquil surroundings; interesting campsite access (through the river); simple and eco-friendly amenities (shower, toilets); self-service shop with basic supplies (water, wood, matches etc.)

Negativ: midges (can't be helped, though - it's almost always an inseparable part of Scottish camping adventures)

Positiv: Amazing spot, the vibe is perfect if you are looking for something secluded near a river. Owners are very nice and the taxi ride throgh thr river is a great extra 👍🏕️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Positiv: Location was epic and the friendliness of the owners Tabitha and Brett was amazing. Didn’t make us feel bad for transporting a huge amount across the river! So don’t feel weird about it, they help load it in and the. Give you a lift across! The hot shower was lovely and we had an open fire every night. S’more Kits(£2) available from shop too which was nice as well as a basket of firewood (£5). The rover was flowing and bubbling beautifully and there was a little beach with easy access to it. The owner later told us of a few pools a bit further downstream that are good for dips too but we didn’t stay long enough to enjoy those! Do remember crocs or wellies or jelly shoes to get too and from your car if you plan on venturing out. But crossing the river made it feel even more of an adventure!

Negativ: Absolutely nothing about the site. Obviously one morning and first evening it was quite calm and we did encounter midges. Quite a lot. But nets on and cover skin up with long sleeves and trousers worked a treat. This is part an parcel of camping in Scotland! So be prepared! Oh and 3/4g signal is quite good so was harder to keep the kids of devices!
