- Clean facilities (there are 3 toilets and 2 showers in the female block).

- Warm welcome from the owner who also provided a local supplement with really helpful information, which included a basic map of Pembrokeshire, a nice touch.

- Charges are per person per night, rather than per pitch and no additional charges for dogs. Showers are free. This is really good for solo travellers and better value.

- The campsite was very busy and full for its size and so you were camped very close to each other **however please note it was August bank holiday weekend. There were certainly more that the stated 5 caravans (with large awnings), in addition to tents, motorhomes and the three pods.

- A couple of hours after arriving and once fully set up, the owner (partner of greeted owner) warned me that there may be some noise that night, based on a group camping near me (there were multiple groups around the site) and he suggested I could move up the field a little (he also offered to help me move my things). However, once already taking the time to set up, relaxing etc and on asking about the noise policy - no noise after 10.30am - I figured it was fine to stay and he did give me his number if there were issues, as said they stay at their house off site and couldn't police things, which is fair enough. The site was very noisy in the evening but I managed to block this out when finding earplugs until I was woken at 2am by a group leaving and shouting goodbye multiple times and then unfortunately didn't manage to get back to sleep.

- As there isn't a separate field, campers were playing cricket, football and rugby in the middle main space. Therefore it was noisy and close-by. For me this wasn't an issue, more so just to consider if you have a dog. I have a small black lab and so needed to move a windbreak to the front of the pitch to block the visual avoid her wanting to join in, or bark at the ball play. There is also a little play area for children on the camping field. Again, wasn't an issue for me as I was up very early and children were actively playing from 7am, which you would expect at a family site. Ideally, having a separate space for play works well, but appreciate when so restricted for space, this isn't possible.

- Little fire awareness of some campers or monitoring of this. One tent actually had their fire lit very close to their nylon windbreak and in-between this and the short distance to their tent! (whilst also being close to other pitches).

- Nearest shop is a drive away or 45 min+ walk, so just make sure you bring what you need for arrival.

- Very rural and small roads to access and potential to be a lovely site, just happens to be very busy and noisy and so if you are wanting the peaceful country experience as advertised, it may not happen on a weekend or bank holiday.

- As I hadn't managed any real sleep, it was the first night of the bank holiday and the site was so loud and busy, I couldn't bare the prospect of potentially not getting sleep again. So I left the site the following morning and kindly requested that I may be refunded for the two nights based on the circumstances (ie it not being a peaceful site) and because I would have to pay for somewhere else to say. The owners declined this and sadly suggested that I had an issue with children and adults enjoying themselves - which is SO not true :(
They have said they would honour the two nights another time when less busy. However, I live 7 hours away and actually wouldn't want to stay there again.

Excellent plenty of space, new toilet and shower block, no problem with the water temperature. Positioned in the middle of Pembroke, gives options of Tenby, Newgale & Fishguard. Very helpful owners, even helped us with our awning.

Warm welcome, safe quiet campsite, lol very atmosphere where the kids all played together happily. Facilities were clean.
