The site was very quiet as we were out of season, but we still received a very warm welcome from the owner and were given the choice of pitches. As we had a person travelling with limited mobility I chose nearest the facilities but this had no affect on our comfort. The toilets and showers were of a very high standard and if like some sites you have to pay, I certainly would not object. The facilities on site for pets is also above and beyond most.
Directions provided are certainly worth following and very clear.

Fabulous amenities, beautifully clean toilets and showers. On site shop selling all the basics you’d need. Lovely pitches in a gorgeous setting, so peaceful. Nice pub a short bike ride away down a quiet country lane. Very welcoming and helpful owners. Couldn’t fault anything! Would definitely come again.

Very calm forest place. We loved those separated tent pitches in the wood. Two pounds for fishing. It is a bit challenging but try to follow the direction given by a site staff.

Good location, can park on the pitch and grass was a good length. Facilities including the showers were excellent and well presented. Easily accessible water points. Pitches tend to be on a slight slope.

The pitch was a little muddy. Please also note that most pitches are in close proximity to trees / woodland, quite loud when it's windy! As a general comment please note the site is unlit except the toilet block (longer timers on the inside lights is needed!). Also note that there is extremely limited mobile service - free WiFi is available for 60 mins, beyond this is charged.

Absolutely beautiful scenery, very tranquil, the staff were very friendly and helpful, facilities were kept so clean, the showers are amazing, we got to meet pickles and woosh and I caught my very first carp we had the most amazing 3 days, highly recommended, also the half moon pub was a big wow on the food, and the friendliest people

Friendly welcome, clean campsite, lovely setting. Walked in woods with dog. Raised campfires allowed. Peaceful. Felt like we were right in nature.

We had a fantastic stay in the Woodland yurt. Everything you would want for a simple get away.
Gas cooker, fridge and all the kitchen equipment you might need. And the basics there to get you started. A pint of milk, tea, coffee, sugar and fresh water. Plus the kit for washing up too. Having the dedicated toilet facilities within the main block was great too.
The owners were lovely, friendly and helpful. The site is beautifully set in amongst the trees. Listening to all the animals at night and star gazing was amazing. Although waking up at 5 in the morning to thunder was a shock, watching the lightening was really nice.
Will definitely be returning.

A small friendly and quiet site. We only stayed one short night as had a late arrival and early departure.

Kingsmead Centre is a beautiful space to be, you can unwind and take a step away from the hustle and bustle. With lakes to fish, walks, nature all around and places for bikes, there is lots to do. However, if you just want to relax and enjoy nature, there is always an area to find to do that. We will definitely be back.
