Lovely aite with great facilities and pitches!

Good location for getting to areas for walks!

Nice hot showers which where fairly clean for how busy the site was!

Shower head isn't adjustable (more like a old school or swim bath shower) so did spray a bit into the area where you got changed and may not have been great angles etc.. for everyone!

A fantastic little campsite. Very friendly staff, superbly clean amenities, fantastic views, a family room with a fridge, kettle microwave. Look out for the pizza stand on a Saturday night, and order early

Gill Head has our heart! This was our first stay here and we camped with no electric hook up and we definitely didn’t need it. The communal room is well equipped, warm and we could store items in the fridge and freezer and we could charge our items up when needed while the kids watched CBeebies on the tv and played junior scrabble. It was the perfect place to wind down at the end of a busy day at the lake.

The whole site is impeccably clean, the toilet and shower blocks were very well maintained and were also respected by all the people visiting which was so lovely to see.

Check in took a matter of seconds and the Reception area was equipped with plenty of snacks to buy in case you needed any immediate relief from the kids complaining they hadn’t eaten for the last 3 seconds and a snack was needed :)

We stayed on the back field with a direct view of the stunning mountains and sheep fields as our backdrop.

We really embraced all the nature on site, we saw chickens, a frog, dragonflies and butterflies in random places around the site, it was lovely to see them all roaming free.

The other campers were so helpful and helped me put up and take down the tent as I was solo camping with my 2 young daughters.

I have stayed in many campsites/caravan sites before but I have to say this one has been the best by an absolute mile. It’s perfect for anyone and everyone. Younger and older, solo campers, couples and families alike, the site is simply everything you could ask for.

It was exciting to choose our own pitch and there was no getting stuck in a muddy field as the cars were left on a hard standing area next to the pitches just a few feet away.

We loved watching the sunset on our last night and it will be a memory I will treasure forever. It was certainly the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen.

My daughters made lots of new friends with other children on the site and haven’t stopped talking about their trip since we got home this morning.

We will 100% be returning as soon as possible. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay!

Leaving.

Location was absolutely fantastic.. all areas were very clean and the staff were very friendly.. the views from our pod were stunning. Great facilities, toilets , showers , washing up area.. all easily accessed at all times. Shop was well stocked with those holiday items you forgot! Plus fresh milk and eggs. We actually stayed an extra night as it was so good!!! Thank you to all the staff that made our break so enjoyable.. already planning our return !

Long drive up the M6 … but worth it once I arrived.

Stunning views from this tidy well kept site. Quiet at night in spite of it being very busy. Shower amenities were very good, powerful and hot.

It was cozy and warm, no problems with the temperature and had a large back area with room for a kitchen set up and to sleep 2 people. The site was clean and had great views. Very quiet

It said on the website it came with a campers kitchen and gas which it didn’t. Couldn’t buy and pizza as it was busy and you had to preorder.

Lovely place and lovely stay, my boys enjoyed it and so did my family

Very friendly and peaceful site all facilities were spotless and easy travelling distance to plenty of places the lake district has to offer.
Would definitely visit again as it has to be one of the best sites we have visited.
