What was not to like!?
Beautiful setting near to towns and lovely walks.
The cleanest showers and toilets I've ever seen at a campsite - I loved the fact there were mops and cleaning fluids available.
Good little shop.
Friendly and helpful owners.
The guy who rocked up one evening, selling freshly-made pizzas.
The peacock that kept appearing.

What an amazing site! Folk were so friendly and helpful, especially through a wee bit of stormy weather. Floris didn't dull Gill Head spirit. Its clean, super well maintained, has loads of nooks to explore. A great centre for Keswick & Ullswater. All the facilities you need for tents or vans. A real must for the lakes. We'll be back. Thanks for a great time.

We liked everything here. The site is big with beautiful views. There is a playground for the children and plenty of space for them to play and run.
The communal room is great with a fridge and freezer, kettle and a toaster. The toilet block is clean and warm and showers are great too.
There is a little shop at the site.

Great facilities, outstanding views, lovely relaxed atmosphere. Overall had an amazing time at Gill Head and would definitely look at returning.

The views were outstanding. Lovely quiet, clean and welcoming site. And the pizza was amazing. We will absolutely be back.

This isn’t a dislike as such but there wasn’t any very clear recycling facilities.

Stunning location, wild feeling camping if you choose non electric pitch, but with good hot showers a short walk away. Friendly welcoming hosts and very safe atmosphere

Loved it

I loved the views all around the camp site. Toilets and showers were very clean at all times of the day - Showers were nice and hot, cleaning supplies to clean up after yourself.
Toilets were 2 minutes from the furthest tent pitches.
Fridge and freezer in the communal room was great, also has a toaster, kettle and microwave for all to use.
Kids loved the playground, able to see the sheep in the field next to our tents, and the small walk up to see the herd of cows.

Fresh water taps all around.

Only snag would be that a fire pit should come with each pitch, and not at an extra cost.
