The camping pods were comfortable and warm with plenty of room for storage. The views from the campsite were stunning.

We, 4 adults, 2 with special needs/autism stayed in one of the camping pods. With room enough for 4 to sleep comfortably plus plug/usb point & heating if needed we were happy with the pod. Plenty room under the two front bunks for all your bags etc.

It's not quite glamping but it's certainly a step up from a tent. We had initially intended to take our tent but as the forecast was iffy we upgraded & I'm glad we did!

The location was great. Just a few miles from keswick town center but still "rural". You can hear traffic from the main road when you sit outside but it's not loud or distracting.The views are amazing & the night sky was pretty special.

The toilet & shower block was a short walk away. It was clean and there were cleaning products available & campers are encouraged to clean up after themselves. On the last morning (early 6:45am) 3 of the 4 toilets were rather unpleasant but I don't blame the hosts for that. People should leave it as they find it and there was no excuse for leaving anything stuck to the pan or seat.

Although we didn't use it we noticed a good sized children's play area and there are plenty of walks nearby.

We liked that you can pull up outside your pod to unpack but then move the car a short way along to park it keeping your views clear and making it safer for children running about.

I was unsure whether to leave any comment here as they were pretty minor issues and certainly wouldn't deter us from visiting again nor did we think it merited taking a star away.

Although there's a small shop on site it has very limited items and it's only open for a short period of the day so I would strongly advise you take what you might need for your stay.

We were a bit confused by the booking info as to whether or not the pod would have a "camp kitchen" outside on the porch area. There wasn't one which was no big thing but it would have been handy just for storing a few things on and a surface for our Primus to stand on. Maybe that could be clarified on the advertising as it's inconsistent depending on which bit of information you read.

I didn't take a hair dryer because a lot of campsites have pay per use ones in the toilet block but this one didn't so bring your own.

Nothing that would put us off visiting again. Overall it was good value for money.

Quiet & peaceful site, clean toilets/showers. Good location in Lakes.
Could do with more choice in shop & increase kids ply facilities.

Lovely site with clean facilities. The community room was great to have and the play areas adjacent were a winner.

The views across the valley were amazing. Easy access to Keswick, Penrith, Whinlatter Forest, Ullswater and many more walks/fells.
The toilet/shower block was kept clean and smelt fresh. Although we didn't use it there was a room with kettle, toasters, wifi hotspot and sofas for all to use - good for those staying in tents. Loved seeing the peacocks roaming the site too. Lovely site, will be back.

There was noise from the main road, can't be helped due to location. When we ran out of milk on the last morning would have loved for the shop to be open to buy a pint but it wasn't at 9am.

Very impressed with the site. Was very clean, well kept, everyone was friendly. Impressed with the shower facilities. The underfloor heating was lovely. Will definitely be going back again.

The campsite was well kept, amazing views and great facilities. Toilets and showers always clean and the campsite had everything else you need.

Limited showers (only 3 women’s showers for whole campsite) and parking at times was a bit of a scramble
