The large shelter for cooking and sitting under is a stroke of genius! This allowed our group of 4 (on a 4 tent pitch) to sit outside in the dry and also cook without having to put up a tarp. The woodland pitches are a good size and really well spaced out throughout the woods so that you hardly know anyone else is around. The showers are spacious and the water is warm, facilities were all clean. We liked being able to have a fire once the rain stopped.

Actually nothing to dislike. Perhaps if I nit picked, better signage to find the site, but that’s all I can possibly think of.

Lovely woodland site, lots of shade, very clean facilities. Big secluded pitches and very helpful staff

Not easy to walk anywhere from the site, being down a lane from the main road

Great space, lovely and peaceful. Choice of woodland or field camping. Clean toilets and able to buy logs, ice etc

Would have liked hot water sinks for washing hands and brushing teeth etc

Everything! Truly amazing off grid experience. Jamie is amazing and this is one of the best off grid campsites we’ve stayed in! Highly recommend.

Having to leave to come home.

We enjoyed the woodland pitches, but also enjoyed being able to go to the communal area to soak up some sun. It was a peaceful retreat in nature and had all of the amenities we needed. Close enough to local shops to buy our dinner and cook it over the fire. Jamie was a kind host who made sure we were cared for. Spacious pitch with room to spread out.

Peaceful, flat, easy ground for pitching. Bob, who met us on arrival, gave us good choices re woodland, open field etc.
The site was quiet so we wondered whether the site is in a growing phase….certainly the number of toilets and washing up facilities would not cope with large numbers of campers

Lack of wash basins. Few of the camping friends we know would go to a site without sufficient wash basins, let alone none.

Gorgeous blue bell wood - widely spaced pitches so you felt secluded and away from it all. Fantastic place to camp
