Spacious pitches.
Shower/Toilet block was always clean.
Friendly staff.
Shop on site selling local butchery goods.
We had an emergency whilst there, our tow car was in a crash. Staff were compassionate and helped us a spot to store our caravan until I could arrange collection.

No site map, had to ask where drinking water/grey waste was.

We had hardstanding and Pitch size was good. Didnt use the site facilities but my wife said they were good.
Great on site shop with a variety of products.

It is an untidy site with many workmen starting (or not) up vans early morning.
The site lacks enough clearly marked water taps and as the 2 i found were painted dark green and due to a lack of lighting not easy to find. Waste points were good but more locations needed.

Quality of showers and WiFi didn’t work

When we arrived the staff upgraded us to a hard gravel pitch due to the wet weather (we'd originally booked a grass pitch). For the little extra this costed it, it vastly improved our stay.
The staff were always extremely friendly and incredibly helpful. The toilet/shower blocks and washing facilities were always in well cleaned and in excellent condition.
The site was quiet and just a stones throw away from plenty of wonderful walking spots.

Only issue for us is that due to the weather we had some very muddy pooches. The site did have a hose pipe near a tap to help clean them off but someone had stolen the connections, not the sites fault and frustrating for all!

Okay we'll start off with good bits:

- Clean and warm shower & toilet block
- Clean and warm dishwashing / laundry room
- 20 minute walk to a great pub (The Gate)
- Well stocked shop that is open late
- Well priced (in Feb)

That's it for the good bits.

On to the bad bits:

- Loads of highway maintenance contractors onsite chucking stuff (loudly) in their vans every morning around 6am.
- Others talking / shouting loudly both early in the morning and very late at night. The one next to us were outside slamming doors, talking loudly till midnight. No respect for people around them.
- We almost turned around on arrival after seeing the apocalyptic style caravans by the washroom. Scruffy, uninviting, intimidating to walk past at night (for my wife)
- Then there's the big issue of the elsan points. Not once were they cleaned and they are absolutely gross. Human waste and toilet paper bits all over them and you have get down low to use the hose so you're not far off bending down to the disgusting elsan tray. Ironically there's a sign there saying they take hygiene very seriously. If this is case then please clean the elsan points every day.

Nice size pitch lovely little site , shop excellent and staff very friendly and helpful will be back.

Not sites fault the couple next to us trying to move there caravan at midnight trying to drag it of the pitch the they went then returned an hour later shouting and arguing no vert nice for people trying to sleep.

It was a beautiful place, would recommend it.

We booked and paid for 3 nights but with circumstances out of our control we only stayed one night. We said it to the girl at the disk and she said contact the owners, but got no reply back. We were no even missed, not asked if we were ok.
no refund, no complementary, nothing. we were not even missed. A personal touch did not exist.

Good sized pitches.
Excellent toilet/ shower facilities
Good well stocked shop
Washing machine and tumble dryers.

The site is taken up with permanent residence which makes the place look untidy Motorhome services could be better.
