Friendly atmosphere, very accommodating as we were a large family groups they made sure all our pitches were close to each other.

Everything was perfect

Lovely site with a cafe (open til 3pm) and bar. Lots of events at the site, a 200+ motorcycle meet, music and steam rallies etc. Nice walks around and 5 fishing lakes which I used while there reasonably priced as well. Facilities were fine, water good temperature in showers.

Not really much to complain about but lakes are small and water was very low (4-5ft down). Also far too many rods in each lake.

The site was nice and clean , plenty of bins around the site, we had a takeaway on the Friday night from the on-site cafe/restaurant which was nicely presented and ready for collection within 15 mins of ordering , fishing lakes well stocked .. just went for the weekend but will be booking again for longer next time …

I think only complaint would be the price of the fishing for our 5 year old grandson who wanted to learn to fish , obviously at 5 he’s not going to stay sitting there all day so 20 mins here and there , I think hubby said it was £7 for him , steep for a small child …

Spacious pitches, very helpful staff, lovely scenery.

Toilet paper and and paper towels had run out in the toilet black on Saturday night and not replenished until 9.30am Sunday when cleaned.

Washing up area was dirty evvery time we went to use it...clearly our fellow campers needed reminding about manners!

Great people, very helpful. Loved the wildlife. The bar was cheaper than pub prices. The food was excellent and plenty of it. Loved seeing the bikes on the Wednesday. Entertainment was also good and it was free.. As it was holiday time I expected some unruly kids, but they were all well behaved. A credit to the parents. The site overall was kept rubbish free,clean and tidy. Every unit had a huge amount of space. You weren't packed in. Hot showers and clean toilets. The majority of the pitches are level. The price was also good. If you didn't use all of your electric you got refunded what you didn't use and the electric wasn't at an inflated price. We used less than £4 a day. That's a touring caravan with 4 adults charging mobile phones, 800w microwave, kettle,tv and lights. The fishing looked to be great with some big fish being caught. I didn't see any litter on the site, only a couple of bits in the family shower. This was our 3rd visit, the first 2 was with a motorcycle club.

The person strimming at 8am! If you must strim at that time in the morning get an electric strimmer. This is not a reflection of the site but some of the pesants that were there. Leave the showers as you would expect to find them! Someone who was fishing left fishing related rubbish on the shower floor. Also a squeegee on a handle is supplied, I did the floor after the nerderwell that last used it left it all wet, you’re welcome. not just the shower but the whole floor. Lazy commoner, I can only imagine how scummy your home is.
