Nature and most important that pitches are not to close to others so you feel privacy.

The size of the pitches, the beautiful area. How peaceful it was at night. The owners are friendly and helpful.

Roger was very friendly and lent us his bbq which was very kind. The area was beautiful and deserted - no people. Totally quiet and tranquil - wild camping at its best.

What a hidden gem, this was everything we wanted. Wild camping, with the lake, wildlife and early morning views.
Also being met by Alan and driven to the site / pitch, who was very friendly.

Advertised as "lake view" our pitch on the first night we could not see the lake. Luckily we moved on our second night and managed to get a spot with a better view.
On the advert it sounded like we could drive in and pitch up wherever we wanted but when we got there we were given a specific spot (full disclosure this was over the Bank Holiday so presume was busy)

The most beautiful place; we stayed right on the edge of the lake and although the site was actually fully booked we could barely see any other people. We spent a heavenly night surrounded by nature, peaceful water and the birds.

Pitches are level and mowed flat amidst the long grass and reeds about 50 -100 yards apart on one side of the lake. One small portaloo is the only concession to modern “facilities - otherwise it’s wild camping in glorious unspoilt nature.

Some wash facilities would be good but it’s made perfectly clear on the website what is and isn’t available. Just a personal preference.

Felt very safe was very clean no rubbish lovely greeting and directions to pitch site when we arrived was a really really enjoyable trip and will be goin back with our young son

Beautiful lake and surrounding area. Well spaced out plots to allow privacy and good access to the lake for some paddleboarding.
No facilities as it is a wild camping vibe which wasn't a problem for us, maybe slightly expensive at £30 a night but the area was stunning.

Some people do not deserve nature however, leaving various amounts of rubbish in the bushes and at thier pitch!
