- Peaceful location with no neighbours
- In the Serra Cavalls mountain range among olive and almond groves
- Eco friendly, running on solar electricity and rainwater
No neighbours in sight, in a wildlife haven among olive and almond groves in the Serra Cavalls mountain range, and a topping base from which to dive into the Terra Alta and to get to the Pyrenees, the Via Verde, the Costa Brava and beaut Barcelona… what a smashing little Tarragona campsite is La Casa Blanca Finca.
It's a tiny and simple place, carefully maintained to keep a peaceful vibe, with access down an unpaved track a kilometre and a half off the main public roads (there really are no neighbours nearby). It's also eco friendly, running totally on solar electricity and rainwater as its water supply.
The site has cycle hire, wifi and free parking. Breakfast is available.
When getting out and about, the nearest bus station is in Gandesa: ask the La Casa Blanca Finca owners to run you there for a small fee.
Open from 01/04/2017 to 31/10/2017
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
This site has no on-site toilet and shower facilities.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

It may be small, but the territory of Catalonia has a huge amount of things to see and do among its diverse landscape, from active days out to lazing around its beaches and coast.
Walking and cycling are first-rate in this region: access the Via Verde of the Catalonian countryside near La Casa Blanca Finca; amble along the Penedès Wine and Cava Route, or have a wildlife walk in the Ebro Delta Nature Park.
More energetically, the Tarragona province has four mountain ranges to climb and hike: the Serra de Cavalls, the Serra de la Fatarella, the Serra de Pàndols and the Serra dels Pesells. Or perhaps you'd prefer a dip? Natural pools have formed in the river of nearby La FontCalda Sanctuary as well as a natural hot spring.
Catalonia was also a place of major importance in the Spanish Civil War: history fans who want to pay homage can see the bombed and abandoned village of Corbera D'Ebre and the war museum of Gandesa (wine cellars and wine tasting are also available at this last).
Elsewhere in the area, excursions of all types can be had from this base, like the mammoth mountain range and monuments of the Pyrenees in the north; the Mediterranean Sea and the Costa Brava; Barcelona city and the sacred mountain of Monserrat, and then down to the mountain ranges of south Catalonia.
